Pneumatic Fitter – Journeyperson
(UA Local 46 – ICI Sector)
Position Summary
Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Honeywell pneumatic HVAC control systems in healthcare, commercial, and institutional (ICI) facilities.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot Honeywell pneumatic control systems, air compressors, control tubing, valves, actuators, and associated HVAC components
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, control schematics, and specifications
- Calibrate and adjust pneumatic thermostats, receivers, relays, and damper actuators
- Perform system diagnostics, leak detection, and pressure testing
- Complete preventative maintenance per manufacturer and Honeywell contract specifications
- Maintain compliance with Ontario safety regulations and Local 46 collective agreement standards
- Complete required documentation and service reports
- Ability to be on an on-call schedule coverage
- Ability to change, diagnose and repair steam/hydronics/air control valves
Must have:
- Certificate of Qualification (where applicable under Ontario Skilled Trades regulations)
- Member in good standing with UA Local 46
- Completion of Local 46 apprenticeship program (approximately 9,000 hours combined training)
- Minimum 10 years experience of strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical room installations
- Valid safety certifications (Working at Heights, WHMIS, etc.)
- Valid G driver’s license

The hourly rate for this position is $58.20/hour in Markham, Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
