The technology leader for Dynamics 365 and Other Applications (such as Payroll, Recipe Management, ++) is responsible for the roadmap, development, security, build, operations, support, and overall technical performance plus any other related integrations.  Other technology platforms may be added over time. The Platform Owner ensures all relevant TID (Technology Innovation and Data) KPIs are measured and achieved (e.g. Uptime, Vendor Performance Scorecard). This leader has all credentials and expert experience building, configuring, supporting and maintaining the Microsoft D365 platform (including integrated and related products) in support of the requirements, roadmap and service desk requirements established in partnership with the Finance Product Owner(s) and TID leadership. With strong partnerships, the technology lead co-creates business and technical D365 and planning solution roadmaps, finance solution strategies, operational and support plans, while delivering D365 and complementary financial solution initiatives.

The Tech Lead will integrate and coordinate with the Data Hub for the coordinated and integrated development, support and operation of related/integrated Data & Analytics Products as well as the integration of D365 with Four Seasons MDM (Informatica). The leader will centralize key horizontal TID functions to create cohesion and alignment across Transactional finance technologies. In addition they will ensure consistency in application of technical best practice solution design, technology selection, and use of Service Desk service catalog capabilities. Also, this position is responsible for the intersection of business and technology strategies across the Four Seasons technology enterprise architecture and data architecture championing and leading best practices and principles. This leader also partners with broader Four Seasons stakeholders, vendor partners, and industry leaders, to guide the overall strategic direction for finance enterprise architecture, technical strategy, technology advisory, infrastructure, and works collaboratively with TID security operations.

This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Sr. Director, IT Finance. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.

What You’ll Be Doing

Product Roadmap

  • Constantly monitor D365 technological trends and best practices, and integrate them into the evolution of the D365 solution.

  • Identify and define D365 product roadmap opportunities to ensure scalability, simplification, automation, sustainability, and standardization of the D365 global solution.

  • Lead D365 technology projects.

Solution analysis, design, development, testing, & implementation

  • Accountable for making technical solution decisions that align to business requirements and business objectives in support of delivering the D365 product owner business case.

  • Accountable for leading the handover and transition to the TID Technical Services and @ Service Desk TID leader.

Finance technology leadership

  • Provide leadership, expert analysis and strategic advice to support effective finance enterprise digital and technology investment planning, program delivery, and opine on business operations consistent with TID technology objectives, and priorities.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to TID, D365 Product Owner, and Four Seasons stakeholders  and identify, develop and maintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholders and vendor partners.

  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and be accountable for the creation of recommendations, and support the development of product backlog and the Four Seasons D365 roadmap.

  • Deliver technical architecture briefings, initiative Enterprise Risk Assessments, create and deliver executive leadership presentations, lead technical design workshops, and lead options analysis.

Who You Are

  • Expertise with ERP Platforms: Extensive experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), specializing in Finance, Supply Chain, HCM, and Project Management modules.

  • Proficient in Integration Development: Highly skilled in designing and implementing integrations between D365 F&O and Four Seasons TID Financial applications using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, OData, APIs, and custom services.

  • Proven expertise in managing complex data mapping, automating workflows, and ensuring seamless data flow between systems.

  • X++ Development / Languages: Expertise in X++ for creating custom solutions, platform enhancements, and workflow extensions in D365 F&O. Skilled C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and PowerShell for developing custom solutions and platform enhancements.

  • Cloud & Azure Services: Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Azure Synapse, Azure Key Vault, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Storage, enhancing integration and scalability of solutions.

  • Data Migration & Management: Extensive experience in data migration strategies using DMF, Data Entities, and Azure tools, ensuring seamless transitions and data integrity.

  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, including DDL/DML and stored procedure development.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Proficient in developing SSRS reports, electronic reporting, and Lasernet reports tailored to client needs.

  • Power Platform: Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI for workflow automation, data visualization, and extending Dynamics 365 capabilities.

  • DevOps & Lifecycle Management: Experienced in using GIT, VSTS, and Microsoft DevOps for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-hosted environment management via Lifecycle Services (LCS).

  • System Optimization: Strong background in debugging, performance tuning, and optimizing multi-threaded solutions to ensure scalability and reliability of Dynamics implementations.

  • Solution Design & Collaboration: Proficient in Fit Gap Analysis, Requirement Gathering, and Solution Architecture, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business requirements.

Business and Technical Knowledge:

  • Lead role will have expertise in the development of large-scale strategic financial digital and data TID initiatives to ensure alignment with TID policies.

  • Proven and demonstrated experience in providing advice and technology leadership in the backlog planning process including technology selection, options analysis, delivery and related best practices.

Team Leadership:

  • Experience with coach TID team members and ensuring alignment with overall TID strategic direction.

  • Strategic technology planning skills to anticipate and absorb complex, large scale issues, and to recognize the interdependencies of D365 intricacies with OneStream and other financial solutions.

  • Provide project leadership and management on projects and sprints from concept to implementation including leading working groups, providing project status updates for tracking and reporting for senior management.

  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, make decisions and understand the technology interdependencies.

Issues Management and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Evaluate D365 direction, D365 and Generative AI trends and standards to identify and develop TID options and recommendations.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years working with finance / IT enabling solutions.

  • Past IT D365 Finance & Operations / D365 Supply Chain Management platform and application experience.

  • Ownership and delivery of D365 application Managed Services.

  • Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and AX across all major versions (D365, AX 2012, AX 2009, Axapta 3.0).

Relevant Microsoft D365 Certifications such as:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365: Core Finance and Operations (MB-300)

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (MB-310)

Relevant Microsoft Development Certifications such as:

  • Axapta 3.0 Programming

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0: Development Introductions, and/or Trade and Logistics

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Enterprise Portal

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012: Development Introductions, Trade and Logistics, Installations and/or Enterprise Portal
