What You’ll Be Accountable For
Architectural Leadership:
Own and evolve the enterprise integration architecture, ensuring it supports scalability, resilience, and loose coupling across distributed systems
Provide architectural oversight through design reviews and technical guidance grounded in hands‑on integration experience
Define and champion modern integration patterns, with a strong emphasis on asynchronous, event‑driven, and streaming architectures
Platform & Standards Ownership:
Define, document, and maintain enterprise integration patterns, reference architectures, and standards
Defines enterprise REST API standards, including resource modeling, HTTP semantics, versioning, and long‑term compatibility strategies
Establishes and governs the API platform using Azure API Management as a shared enterprise capability (policies, products, traffic management, analytics)
Guide technology selection and usage across integration platforms, balancing throughput, latency, reliability, and cost considerations
Technical Enablement & Governance:
Provide technical leadership for complex, cross‑domain integration scenarios and mission‑critical production flows
Partner with engineering teams to ensure architectures are production‑ready, observable, and aligned with platform and security standards
Influence delivery teams through design reviews, coaching, and architectural guardrails rather than direct control
Shapes microservices interaction patterns
Determines when to use synchronous APIs versus asynchronous or event‑driven integration based on scalability and resilience needs
Collaboration & Influence:
Work closely with Enterprise Architects, platform teams, application teams, and security partners to align integration architecture with enterprise strategy and governance
Act as a trusted advisor on integration decisions across the organization
What you bring
Proven experience architecting enterprise‑scale integration solutions across distributed systems
Deep expertise in integration architecture patterns, including event‑driven, asynchronous messaging, and streaming architectures
Strong ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into pragmatic, scalable architectures
Demonstrated success influencing teams and stakeholders through architecture, standards, and technical leadership
Hands‑on Java development experience building production‑grade services
Practical understanding of Azure infrastructure, including subscriptions, resource groups, resources, access control with role-based access control, integrations with Azure AD, and Azure security principles (user group, service principal, managed identity), password/credential/key management, and data protection
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate both technical and business concepts, as well as strong presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in a Senior Architectural role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
2+ years in an Agile delivery organization (SAFe certification preferred)
Experience designing and leading integration solutions on Microsoft Azure
Experience designing and building APIs, running them on AKS, integrating with broker-based messaging systems (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, Pulsar), and managing API exposure through gateways such as Azure APIM
Experience working with cloud‑native or containerized platforms (e.g., Kubernetes‑based workloads)
Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar
Direct experience operating integration workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Background defining enterprise‑wide integration governance or platform operating models

Our typical hiring range is between $80,000.00 and $131, 000.00 per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
