Job Description:

The incumbent Plan Implementation Coordinator is responsible for efficiently and accurately handling service requests to update Group Retirement Services (GRS) record keeping systems.  The position also involves the monitoring of multiple email and workflow queues. 

What will you do?

  • Handle plan level set up and changes to GRS record keeping efficiently and accurately and within the defined service standard  

  • Manage fund sweeps and all associated tasks

  • Ensure New Client set up corrections are completed on time

  • Partner with the Technical Specialist/Team Lead/Manager to ensure all issues and complaints are escalated/logged and acted upon within 24 hours

  • Share feedback or other issues with Technical Specialist to improve processes and the relationship with the client/internal business partners

  • Accurately track all assigned work in the workflow systems  (Ultera, email)

  • Participate actively in all aspects of the Brighter Way Management system including huddles, GEMBA, Continuous Improvement and problem solving meetings.    

  • Strong initiative to ownership of work

  • Outstanding Client focus and service

  • Strong comprehension skills; effective written and verbal communications

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate and collaborate with internal departments and external service providers

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of retirement products such as RRSP, RRIF/LIF, DCPP, DPSP,  LIRA  etc.

  • Knowledge of the GRS systems, Ultera and Outlook

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
