Department: Allied Health
Reports to: Manager, Program Services
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary Range: $54.08 per hour (start rate non-negotiable)
Hours: 4 days/week
Shifts: Days - 8 hour shifts
Status: Temporary Part-Time (up to 12 months, with possible extension)
Closing Date: October 8, 2026

Position Summary

The Physiotherapist (PT) is an integral member of the Physiotherapy service, Allied Health and clinical programs in which care is provided. Through the provision of patient and non-patient care activities, the PT enhances the quality of life of patients by utilizing best practice and providing assessment and treatment for a mixed patient population in Reactivation.

Duties

Principal responsibilities include: collaborating with interprofessional team in providing patient focused care; communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues; participating in Program planning/development, professional and hospital initiatives supporting quality management and research; supervising Physiotherapy students for clinical education; interacting with volunteers; complying with and committing to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients.

Qualifications

• At minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy
• Minimum of 3 years working as a Physiotherapist
• Member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario;
• Canadian Physiotherapy Association membership preferred
• Membership in the Ontario Physiotherapy Association preferred
• Membership in the preferred
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level) Heart Saver Plus (Canada)
• Experience in geriatrics and rehabilitation preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent problem solving skill
