Join our National DC Consulting practice where we harness over 60 years of experience in delivering exceptional Advisory Services to clients with DC pension plan and other Capital Accumulation Plans (CAP). The team provides a range of advisory services including vendor searches, manager searches, member behaviour assessments, investment reviews, investment monitoring, plan reviews and governance assessments for both public and private sector clients. We have established ourselves as Consultants with a unique approach by understanding a client's DNA, culture and values to ensure our services meet and exceed their needs and expectations. As a DC Pension Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping the team deliver Advisory Services to clients across a variety of industries and of various sizes. Your responsibilities will include providing all types of analysis related to services provided which include member behaviour assessments, vendor searches, investment fund lineup reviews, investment performance monitoring, manager searches, plan designs, benchmarking assessments, and governance assessments. You will also collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with client objectives. What you’ll do     

  • Liaise with internal colleagues and external service providers as needed to support client deliverables or obtain necessary information

  • Review data, conduct analysis and prepare investment monitoring reports including relevant capital market or manager commentaries

  • Support in the maintenance of proprietary databases and creation of database as directed

  • Draft clear emails, client reports and other communications as needed

  • Support on any national or internal initiatives as needed and participate in national team meetings

  • Take direction from, and support the DC Consulting team

  • Support with client billings and tracking profit/loss metrics

  • Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends

  • Assist with special projects, as required

  • An excellent understanding of software, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

What you bring

  • University degree in (Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science)

  • Proficiency in using Excel

Nice to haves

  • Prior knowledge and/or experience working with CAP or DC plans, investments, applicable legislation and best practices is an asset

  • A keen desire to pursue or to work towards the CFA designation

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with a strong professional acumen and the desire to take the initiative in helping clients find solutions.

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing assignments

  • Dedicated team player with strong work ethic, who demonstrates initiative and independence

  • An excellent understanding of software, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Bilingual French and English

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
