Job Summary
Compile and post associate time and payroll data. Compute associates' time worked. Compute and post wages and deductions. Prepare paychecks.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Compile associate time, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments and post information onto designated records
Calculate or compute wages and deductions and enter data into computer.
Compare wage computations, logs, and time sheets to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, leave pay, and insurance coverage, to maintain and update payroll records.
Compile and submit payroll status and other reports to supervisors and managers.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
Process and issue paychecks to associates.
Nature and Scope
Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
No travel required.
Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Payroll Associate.
Workday experience.
Year-End process experience.
