The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is the statutory body responsible for regulating Ontario’s capital markets in accordance with the mandate established in the provincial Securities Act and the Commodity Futures Act. The mandate of the OSC is to provide protection to investors from unfair, improper or fraudulent practices, to foster fair, efficient and competitive capital markets and confidence in the capital markets, to foster capital formation, and to contribute to the stability of the financial system and the reduction of systemic risk. This mandate is performed through policy, operational, and enforcement activities. The OSC also contributes to national and global securities regulation development.

Fixed-Term, Full-time Contract (until March 31, 2026 with the possibility of renewal)
The OSC is a year into a multi-year strategic plan and new organization structure. The Executive Advisor, Organization Transformation leads organizational work to embed transformational principles and practices that support the effective implementation of the strategic plan and the organization structure, as well as the alignment of a strong OSC culture.
Reporting to the Executive Advisor, Organization Transformation, the Organization Transformation Specialist plays a meaningful role in the delivery of the OSC’s organization transformation goals and initiatives. This position is responsible for coordination, logistics and implementation support, including active involvement in session/program delivery, for a variety of initiatives and events that support and engage OSC leaders and employees in transformation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Executive Advisor in the design and delivery of Organization Transformation programs, initiatives and events
- Coordinate logistics and provide implementation support to Organization Transformation events, initiatives and programs
- Event planning and logistics may include: scheduling of boardrooms and external venues, distribution of invitations, registration tracking and follow up, response to general queries, ordering catering, formatting, printing and circulating of agenda and meeting materials, and coordinating technical requirements.
- Implementation support may include: preparation of presentations and other materials as required, meeting set-up (virtual or in-person collaboration tools), facilitation, and participant support during events.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers, to provide and obtain information for programs and projects as the administrative representative of the division, ensure timelines are met, services are provided according to agreement and address issues as they arise.
- Set-up post event feedback mechanisms and work with Executive Advisor to apply learnings to enhance quality of each subsequent event.
- Collaborate with other functions, and in particular Human Resources/Organization Development, Internal Communications, and Strategic Planning and Reporting, on joint initiatives with common objectives for organization transformation.
- Under the direction and guidance of the Executive Advisor, support budget management processes, procurement and vendor management activities related to organization transformation initiatives.
- Research articles, publications and papers and prepare summaries of relevant information and key issues as background informational material for Executive Advisor, event participants, and other project team members.
- Provide administrative and document management support to the Executive Advisor.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline (eg. Business Administration, Organization Behavior, Communications)
- Three to five years of relevant experience in a junior professional role supporting: change management activities, project management, learning & development activities, including facilitation and in session participant support, event management and procurement.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Solutions-oriented problem-solver, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and pays attention to the details.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent skills in administrative and communication applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio, Teams and Office 365
- Previous experience managing vendors and/or contributing to requests for quotation and requests for proposal.
- Ability to work in a team environment while also work well independently
