About the role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be the subject matter expert on media planning, both traditional and digital, bringing your deep media experience and skills to our fast-paced business. You will be responsible for the delivery of National and Amazon media strategies, working in partnership with the Home and Beauty category managers, the ecommerce team, the Amazon Senior Account Manager and the Media Associate (your dedicated support). You will ensure advertising strategies align with Dyson’s objectives and deliver measurable results. You will have exposure to all areas of the business and will work closely with the Global and Americas CoE teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Media Leadership

  • Lead the annual and campaign media agency briefing process-in partnership with category, PR, and ecommerce teams.

  • Oversee full-funnel media planning (online and out-of-home) for both national and Amazon accounts.

  • Manage the media calendar: ensure deadlines are met, budgets are approved, and tactics support Dyson’s goals.

  • Collaborate with Category Managers, Senior Ecommerce Manager, and Amazon Senior Account Manager to inform data-driven strategies and creative media solutions.

  • Apply robust testing methodologies, measurement platforms, and reporting standards.

  • Build connections with Global and Americas media teams—activate programs, report on results, and lead local implementation.

  • Influence stakeholders across the organization and lead presentations on media planning and performance.

  • Develop strong relationships with key media partners (Meta, TikTok, Google) to gain early access to new opportunities.

Media Agency Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for the media agency-ensure optimal audience targeting across all channels and explore new advertising approaches.

  • Leverage audience-led programmatic digital buying (ideally with tools such as SA360, DV360, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and Google Analytics).

  • Optimize campaigns via A/B, audience, creative, and landing page testing.

  • Deliver meaningful bi-weekly/monthly/post-campaign analysis—relentlessly test, target, and refine to improve results.

  • Review media performance/KPIs to meet and exceed targets with positive ROI.

  • Ensure media forecasts are in line with ecommerce objectives.

  • Drive operational efficiencies and process enhancement with the agency.

Campaign & Stakeholder Management

  • Advise Category teams on content and creative direction to support marketing activities.

  • Partner with the Ecommerce team to deliver Dyson Canada’s digital strategy-aligning with global brand guidelines.

  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across Category, Ecommerce, National Account, Retail, PR, Customer Service, and Owner Engagement teams.

  • Translate category objectives into high-performing advertising campaigns and ad copy.

  • Identify and drive initiatives, tools, and campaigns that increase sales.

  • Manage media budgets, POs, invoice processing, and budget tracking.

Team Effectiveness

  • Shape and manage media team processes and ways of working.

  • Inspire and guide the Media Associate through regular feedback, one-to-ones, and clear objectives.

About you

  • Excellent knowledge of web technologies, including search engines, landing page design and optimization, and industry tools and trends.

  • Experience working with major retailers in an e-commerce environment (preferred).

  • Experience managing large budgets across multiple business lines.

  • Previous experience working with or for a media agency.

  • Strong experience in both traditional and digital consumer media.
