Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

In this role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business relationship with National Retailers including merchandising, development and implementation of promotional strategy, forecasting, sales and account P&L responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with respective retail merchants and key decision makers
  • Drive sales and profitability as outlined in Operating Plan
  • Manage profitability analysis to achieve profit margin – strong understanding of customer sales and spend to determine which levers effectively drive consistent improvement
  • Develop promotional plans with Major Key Accounts to maximize return to EMA
  • Actively work with EMA Marketing and Merchandising to develop and grow current product offerings
  • Gather market intelligence and competitive information on an on-going basis
  • Strong knowledge and experience of digital retailers to consumer platform is key
  • Grow floor positioning of EMA products – expand listings with current and New Product Introductions
  • Monitor and analyze sell through of product
  • Work with the account order advocate on past due orders/models and any shipping issues
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating forecast for assigned customer
  • Ensure that all collateral materials are created and distributed
  • Conduct market visits to adapt strategies to dynamic market

KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience with retail National Accounts – experience and relationship with e-commerce retailers beneficial
  • Preferred work experience with e-commerce retailers – digital retailer to consumer proven track record
  • Strong written and oral cross functional communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, ability to prioritize and a strong attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills & interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer Skills Required: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Preferred applicants will be highly motivated and assertive with a strong record of performance 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5- 7 years’ sales experience required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone.  The employee frequently is required to drive, walk and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to stand.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
