Job Description:

This role serves as the Finance Business Partner for the Royal Canin North America Supply Chain organization ($250M Annual Budget), providing financial leadership and co-piloting across transportation, warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations throughout the United States and Canada. The position is responsible for driving strategic planning, Annual Execution Planning (AEP), forecasting, Integrated Value Creation Plan (IVCP) delivery, and Value Leadership initiatives while partnering with Logistics and Supply Chain leadership to deliver sustainable growth, productivity, service, and financial performance.
The role provides forward-looking financial insights, drives informed decision-making across the North America logistics network, and ensures delivery of Royal Canin's financial commitments through strong business partnership, governance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning, Annual Planning and Forecasting

  • Partner with the Regional VCO and North America Logistics leadership teams to establish financial targets aligned with divisional and corporate objectives.

  • Lead the development of the long-range strategic plan, Annual Execution Plan (AEP), and periodic forecasting processes for the North America Logistics organization.

  • Provide an in-depth understanding of transportation, warehousing, distribution, and logistics cost drivers and their impact on business performance.

  • Lead business reviews with Logistics and Supply Chain leadership to drive gap closure plans and hold stakeholders accountable to business commitments.

  • Lead the Integrated Value Creation Plan (IVCP) process for North America Logistics, identifying, validating, tracking, and delivering productivity initiatives and cost savings.

  • Drive Value Leadership initiatives and achievement of Do It Best (DIB) productivity objectives, including annual productivity delivery targets.

  • Challenge stakeholders, assumptions, and business cases through fact-based financial analysis and insights to ensure optimal business decisions.

  • Lead the forecasting process leveraging the S&OP+ framework and drive alignment through SMR and IRR reviews at regional and global levels.

  • Ensure a single source of truth across multiple stakeholders in a complex operating environment.

Forward Looking Analysis

  • Serve as the primary Finance Business Partner to the North America Logistics Leadership Team.

  • Provide consultative financial leadership to Logistics leaders and ensure financial risks and opportunities are appropriately identified, quantified, communicated, and actioned.

  • Lead financial forecasting and year-end estimate processes, including analysis versus AEP, prior year performance, and strategic targets.

  • Leverage storytelling and communication skills to clearly connect logistics performance drivers with financial outcomes and business results.

  • Deliver actionable insights that go beyond reporting and support proactive decision-making.

  • Develop business cases and financial analyses supporting logistics transformation, automation, network optimization, and strategic investments.

  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify productivity opportunities and support long-term capability development.

  • Partner with Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Development, and Logistics teams to evaluate trade-offs and optimize cost-to-serve.

Value Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve logistics productivity, service levels, and operational efficiency across North America.

  • Lead financial evaluation, validation, and tracking of savings initiatives and transformation programs.

  • Establish KPI frameworks, financial scorecards, and milestone tracking mechanisms to monitor delivery of financial commitments.

  • Support the development of future-state logistics capabilities through strategic roadmap planning and investment analysis.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and financial discipline.

Governance & Controls

  • Maintain strong governance and internal controls across areas of responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance with Mars and Royal Canin financial policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.

  • Support internal and external audit activities as required.

  • Drive a culture of financial stewardship, transparency, and accountability throughout the North America Logistics organization.

Context and Scope

  • Acts as the primary Finance Business Partner to the North America Logistics Leadership Team and participates in key management reviews and decision-making forums.

  • Influences operational and strategic decisions through financial insights, scenario modeling, risk assessment, and recommendation of trade-offs.

  • Partners cross-functionally with Logistics, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Development, VCO, and Finance teams.

  • Leads IVCP tracking, reporting, and delivery for the North America Logistics organization.

  • Escalates risks and opportunities proactively and drives resolution through stakeholder engagement and fact-based recommendations.

  • Supports Royal Canin's continued growth and logistics transformation agenda while balancing service, cost, efficiency, and profitability objectives.

Education & Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of Finance, FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, Operations Finance, or Logistics Finance experience.

  • Experience supporting transportation, warehousing, distribution, or logistics operations preferred.

  • Strong business partnering experience with demonstrated ability to influence decisions without direct authority.

  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, productivity programs, and performance management.

  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Anaplan, or similar planning and analytics tools preferred.

  • Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 108,160.00 - USD 148,720.00
