Job Description

We are currently looking for Journeyman/Millwrights who have experience with industrial and construction equipment maintenance.  You will be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You work as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.


Responsibilities:

  • Travel to construction site to meet project-based needs.
  • Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
  • Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
  • Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations
  • Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries
  • Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
  • Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
  • Millwright Experience (Journeyman or Apprentice)
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Availability to work on other projects.
  • Experience in OSB and wood forest & mining products will be considered an asset.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.

Flights, Meal Allowance & Accommodations - may apply pending candidates’ main residence.

Shifts: 10.5 Hours Shifts (10 hours paid with 30 min unpaid meal break)

Shift Rotation: Six (6) days on and One (1) day off rotation for a minimum of

three (3) consecutive weeks, then you are eligible for seven

(7) to ten (10) days off. Those choosing to revoke days off, must

submit request form to the Human Resources department a

minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the beginning of their

scheduled time off.

Or

Twenty- one (21) days on followed by seven (7) to ten (10) days off.

Location: Temiskaming Shores, Ontario
