Who We Are
At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level; whether it’s cash, check, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It’s how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.
Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K–12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. M&A is a core pillar of our growth strategy, with a strong track record of six completed acquisitions and an active pipeline ahead. We’re headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.
If you’re motivated by complex transactions, strategic growth, and building technology that protects schools and strengthens education systems, KEV offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at scale.
About the Role
The Corporate Development team plays a critical role in KEV’s growth strategy, partnering closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic acquisitions. Through rigorous analysis, hands-on execution, and close cross-functional collaboration, the team helps scale KEV’s platform and strengthen its market leadership.
We are looking for a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Associate to join our growing team. This role offers significant deal exposure and operational experience, supporting the full acquisition lifecycle from market research and target sourcing to transaction execution and post-acquisition integration. You will work directly with the Head of Corporate Development, CEO, senior executives, the Board of Directors and external investors, gaining exposure typically reserved for more senior roles. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to stretch, punch above their weight, and accelerate their career in a private equity–backed software environment.

- Enable effective due diligence — coordinating cross-functional inputs and helping synthesize findings into clear recommendations for leadership and the Board
- Contribute to post-acquisition integration — supporting integration planning and execution while capturing lessons learned to improve future acquisitions
- Engage key stakeholders — partnering with senior leaders and representing KEV professionally with external advisors, bankers, and target company executives
