  • Thorough understanding of Solidworks
  • Experience working with prototype machine shops and vendors based in Asia
  • Good grasp of GD&T
  • Experience with medium volume production environments
  • Demonstrated ability to bring designs from concept to mass production
  • Demonstrated track record of technical ownership in ambiguous problem environments with clear examples of decisions made and outcomes delivered
  • Holding a valid P.Eng License or pursuing a P.Eng License  is a bonus

What is a Mechanical Engineer expected to do?

  • Create mechanical part designs in Solidworks
  • Prototype parts using 3D printers and machine shops
  • Hands-on assembly of prototype systems
  • Create, specify and perform verification and validation testing
  • Ensure compliance various standards, such as IEC 61010, UL1203 and IEC60079
  • Work closely with electrical engineers for smooth system integration
  • Create work instructions  and train production personnel to assemble your designs
  • Create documentation and guide final systems through the certification process

BinSentry is creating the Mill of the Future

BinSentry is an Internet of Things (IoT) startup in the AgTech (agriculture technology) industry. Our sensors help monitor inventory for feed bins by predicting future consumption using deep learning and generating optimal shipping routes using genetic algorithms. We design, manufacture, and assemble our own hardware but we put a heavy focus on software services as well. Our software leverages the power of our sensor to automate numerous aspects of a feed mill; from ordering feed to delivering it. We offer both our hardware and software as a service (HaaS and SaaS).

Tell me about BinSentry's Culture and benefits!

We are pleased to offer:

  • Full, company-paid group health and dental benefits plus your choice of an annual HSA or PSA
  • Competitive compensation and an equity package
  • Mentorship, guidance and a meaningful mission in which you are invited to participate
  • Brag-worthy swag
  • Awesome company events

We use artificial intelligence tools to support parts of our recruitment process, such as screening or assessing applications. Final hiring decisions are made by our hiring team.
