WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Immediate Canada Marketing Digital Teammates, within the Canada marketing organization and across other functions. Digital Marketing teammates from other global cities (i.e. NYC & LA).

Key partners throughout the marketing briefing to publishing process include: Digital Brand Marketing, Integrated Media, Creators, marketing operations, business, merchants, authoring, and analytics teams.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ONSTRATEGY

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping Nike Inc.’s presence across our ecosystem Nike.com, Nike App and targeted communication channels (email and push), and Social. You’ll connect the emotion of the Nike Inc. brand to athletes through innovative digital strategies that drive engagement, retention/acquisition, and brand affinity.

You will also act as a strategic owner of a key sport, influencing how it comes to life across campaigns and 365 experiences. This includes informing and influencing sport-specific digital strategies, driving innovation on and off our platforms, and aligning our organization with the energy of sport, sport culture, and innovation against the backdrop of sport moments.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering marketing focused plans across Canada’s digital ecosystem. Your work will play a pivotal role in transforming NIKE into the most connected, athlete focused, digital brand in the world.

You will bring a best-in-class brand and commerce experiences to life for the consumer, working as part of an integrated O2O Marketing team.

 You will partner with Nike Inc.’s cross-functional teams to provide strategic thought leadership across targeted comms and flagship experience journeys aligned to seasonal and fiscal strategies and goals.

On an annual basis, you will contribute to the marketing section of the Corporate Strategy Review (CSR) – NIKE Canada’s 3 to 5 Year Plan.

  • Play pivotal role in landing - Big Ideas, Strategic Pillars and Resourcing (Operating Budget and Team /Agency /Tech)
  • In addition, support the holistic Nike Digital Marketing Vision, Strategy & Plan for Canada, delivering on brand, business, and member activity.

On a daily basis, you will support the authoring of annual and seasonal digital marketing strategy including the programming 13-week journey

  • Operationalize Canada territory playbooks and tool kits with channel guidelines, consumer-journey frameworks, digital marketing capability use cases and best practices informed by data and insights to drive efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify and recruit authentic sport Creators, and Social Communities, while creating best-in-class collaborative relationships

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • Key integrator and thought-leader between core business partners
    • Canada & NA Marketing functions: Digital, Brand Management, Brand Creative, Integrated Media, and Retail Marketing
    • Canada Cross-functional teams: Digital Operations, Supply Chain, Merchandising and Planning, Finance, Sales et…
    • External Agencies, Creators and NIKE Partners (i.e. Federations)
    • Foster relationship with Territory and Global City level digital teammates

CONSUMER LED MARKETING

Our Digital Marketing Specialists support, and drive elements of end-to-end planning and programming of various content across campaign and trigger emails,  app push/inbox, Social and Nike App/Nike.com experiences. This includes developing marketing and creative briefs, defining the linking strategy, reviewing creative and QA’ing final deliverables while ensuring launch dates are met with precision. You will provide feedback based on channel best practices, consumer insights, and strategic goals of the brand and business.

You will contribute in creating a relevant and personalized experience at scale for our Nike Inc. consumers while balancing key agency & Creator relationships, leading special projects, removing blockers and escalating issues to right leaders. Daily responsibilities could include:

  • Build and execute timely, and effective consumer and/or Member-led Marketing plans that serve both brand & business objectives, balancing commerce with sport activity.
  • Lead quick-turn, ‘read and react’ strategies in response to business performance and/or Sport moments.

DATA BASED DECISION MAKING

  • Build and execute timely, and efficiently  Monitor and optimize the performance of digital marketing initiatives
  • Track and improve key digital KPIs and metrics
  • Oversee resource allocation and budget management
  •  Drive continuous improvement through testing and learning
  • Support digital marketing excellence & innovation across Canada (ultimately NA)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Design.

  • 3+ years in digital marketing roles (website, app, email, push), ideally working in highly matrixed organizations.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions.

  • Familiarity with tools like AirTable, Figma and Tableau.

  • Previous project management experience in Social Media not a requirement, but a bonus:

    • content calendar planning & publishing

    • assessing performance analytics & applying learnings

    • media buying

  • Engagement across a variety of Social Platforms.

  • Previous experience copyrighting is a bonus. 

  • Invested in building Team and Office Culture.

  • Solution oriented self-starter, able to make quick assessments and dive in.

  • Growth mindset, open to receiving and sharing regular feedback anchored in a commitment to prioritizing personal development.

  • Consistent commitment to building teamwork, putting team’s goals first.

The annual base compensation for this position generally ranges from 71K to 106k. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
