Marketing Manager

Spirit of Math  |  Toronto, Ontario  |  $105,000–$120,000 annually

Build the strategy. Own the numbers. Make the work happen.

The opportunity

Spirit of Math is looking for a Marketing Manager who is as comfortable developing a growth strategy as they are rolling up their sleeves to deliver it. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to shape how marketing works across a growing network of more than 35 corporate and franchise campuses in Canada, while supporting future expansion.

For over 30 years, Spirit of Math has helped high-performing students deepen their mathematical thinking through challenging after-school enrichment. We are not a tutoring program. Our marketing must communicate what makes our approach distinctive and turn that understanding into measurable student registrations and lasting brand awareness.

Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services, you will lead a small internal team, coordinate specialist agencies, partner with campus leaders and create the processes, data discipline and accountability needed to scale.

What you will own

•  Marketing strategy and growth: Build an annual marketing plan and budget, translate it into quarterly priorities and campus-level actions, and connect investment to registration and brand outcomes.

• Performance and analytics: Establish reliable reporting across campaigns, campuses and agencies. Track the full journey from awareness and leads to assessments, registrations and retention; diagnose gaps and act on findings.

• Campaign execution: Plan, launch, monitor and optimize integrated digital, social, email, web, local and print campaigns. Be ready to review campaign setups, creative, targeting, budgets and landing pages yourself.

•  Processes and quality controls: Put clear workflows in place for briefs, approvals, production, brand compliance, deadlines, campaign end dates, reporting and follow-up. Build repeatable systems without slowing delivery.

• Campus marketing: Partner with corporate principals and franchise owners to develop practical local plans, respond to underperforming locations and balance local needs with national brand standards.

• People and partner leadership: Set clear priorities and expectations for the internal team; coach performance, manage workloads and hold agencies accountable for deliverables and business results.

• Brand and communications: Protect and elevate the Spirit of Math brand through strong messaging, website content, collateral, public relations, student achievements, contests and new-campus launches.

What success looks like

• A clear marketing calendar, budget and campus support plan that people can actually execute.

• Accurate, consistent dashboards showing what is working, what is not and what happens next.

• Stronger conversion from marketing activity to qualified inquiries and student registrations.

• Well-managed campaigns with documented ownership, approvals, spending limits and end dates.

•  A capable, accountable team and agency network delivering on time without constant escalation.

What you bring

• At least five years of marketing management experience,  including leadership of a team of three or more.

• Demonstrated ownership of strategy, budgets, campaign execution and measurable growth outcomes.

•Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta advertising, analytics, lead funnels and conversion optimization; able to challenge agency recommendations with data.

• Experience designing processes, managing multiple concurrent projects and building useful KPI reporting.

• Confidence leading a small team while remaining personally involved in the details when needed.

• Excellent stakeholder communication, sound judgment and the ability to influence across teams.

• A bachelor’s degree

• Experience with franchise or multi-location businesses, education or family-focused services, and international market expansion is an asset—not a requirement.

The kind of leader who thrives here

You ask good questions, check the data, make decisions and follow through. You can move between an executive strategy discussion and a hands-on campaign review in the same day. You enjoy building practical systems, developing people and seeing measurable progress—not just activity.
