What is the opportunity?

The RBC Insurance Marketing team is seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing manager on our Brand, Sponsorships & Social Impact portfolio.

The successful candidate will have both a flare for creative and will be an insights-led marketer who can convert data/marketing results into actionable insights to deliver on aggressive targets through best-in-class marketing.

Comfortable in respectfully challenging the status quo, this marketer will display leadership across functional teams and will have the ability to effortlessly navigate a highly matrixed organization to deliver results.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with internal, and external partners to drive integrated planning, campaign strategy, execution and reporting
  • Through an insight-driven approach, lead, develop and deliver strategic frameworks, recommendations, creative briefs / execution, post analysis and presentations
  • Successfully execute campaigns by working closely with Agencies to deliver bold creative that is on brand, time, budget, and media plans that deliver strong ROI
  • Oversee end-to-end management of internal and external marketing budgets, including monthly re-forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, stakeholder updates
  • Ensure disciplined KPI establishment, measurement and analyses to enable strategic conversations, and fuel insights and future marketing plans
  • Identify gaps in process and opportunities for growth within the overall strategy and share creative solutions and suggestions for campaign improvements
  • Work closely with Enterprise Foundation & Corporate Citizenship teams across the organization develop and implement Social Impact strategy and programs for RBCI
  • Work with internal business partners and external vendors on Sponsorship activities to drive exposure and impact for RBCI

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree & minimum of 5+ years of marketing experience
  • A creative eye combined with a keen attention to detail and experience across all marketing disciplines
  • Proven success developing and executing marketing strategies, and building, delivering, and quantifying go-to-market plans through leveraging analytics and translating market, competitive and consumer insights into high impact marketing activities
  • Experience managing external agencies as well as campaign management and execution including campaign development, agency briefing, approvals, & budget management
  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way in cross-functional teams and across the organization while being able to adapt in ambiguous, agile and rapidly changing environments

Nice-to-have

  • Prefer Financial Services experience
  • Previous Insurance experience is an asset
  • Strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Project management experience including cross functional navigation
