In this role, you will plan, execute and integrate a range of communications activities including content development, publishing, measurement and other operations in coordination with other teams and stakeholders both internal and external. You also plan and execute Public and Government Affairs activities to advocate for Mondelēz International's interests and coordinate a range of related transactions or communications with the public and government officials.
How you will contribute
You will design and deliver outstanding media relations, government affairs, and internal communications and community engagement campaigns across markets. This role will require you to think globally and collaborate with colleagues from around the world to share best practices. You will also promote the latest innovations and investments in the market to keep our people engaged in the transformation and to partner with government officials so we can make changes to our operating model and ways of working. In addition to these contributions, you will manage all aspects of communications channels; nurture relationships with Tier 1 corporate media; drive news coverage that promotes Mondelēz International; support local leadership and their teams, stakeholders and other functions internal communications activities, and ensure that activities are delivered within budget.

More about this role
General:

  • Providing support in the planning and coordination of external/internal events, and developing communications and marketing tactics and materials to support events, campaigns, product launches and initiatives.
  • Assisting with the implementation of content strategy and content calendar.
  • Writing clear, engaging plain language marketing copy, for both digital, mobile and print in both French and English.
  • Utilizing AI tools to enhance data-driven communication strategies.
  • Writing, proofreading, and editing communications using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling for all submitted materials in English and French.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, using your proven project management skills to maintain scope, timelines and budget.
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, and time management skills.
  • This is a dual reporting role (Marketing and Corporate Affairs). Depending on the needs of the business, you are expected to move fluidly between functions.


Translation:

  • Utilizing AI tools to automate aspects of content creation and translation.
  • Reviewing and approving external and internal translations to ensure multi-language communications are completed to meet deadlines.
  • Delivering translation and multi-language communications and transcreation needs for Marketing and other Mondelez business units in a timely and client-focused manner.
  • Managing the business relationship with vendors and resolves any issues in the business processes.
  • Is a subject matter expert on the Quebec market and the French language providing creative and strategic francophone insights.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be fully fluent and bilingual (both written and oral) and excellent cultural knowledge of the target languages (Canadian English/ Canadian and Québec French).
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a translator, as well as proven experience in revision and editing.
  • Experience with computer-assisted translation and project management software.
  • Marketing and creative writing experience are definite assets, as are persuasive, analytical and artistic writing talents.
  • Superior attention to detail, strong terminology research capabilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with event planning and execution is an assets.
  • University degree (French-language academic background and/or translation degree preferably).
  • Not remote/ in person part of the role
