We are looking for an experienced Marketing Events Manager to oversee and manage key Fortra events. This person is responsible for developing and executing on an events plan to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and grow pipeline. The role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  This role also contributes to the development of the global events strategy and mentors junior team members.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Event Ownership: Independently manage high-profile company-hosted and third-party events, including planning, logistics, and execution.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Collaborate with team to develop and execute on an events strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Budget Management: Ensure events are executed within budget while maximizing ROI.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate tradeshow logistics including contracts, booth design, giveaways, and booth staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the greater marketing team to ensure a consistent and cohesive Fortra message and plan promotional materials.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships and contracts with our vendors and other third-party providers.
  • Onsite Management: Provide on-the-ground support during events, ensuring all activities run smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Post-Event Processes: Work closely with the greater marketing team to define and optimize lead routing and tracking post event.
  • Measurement and Analysis: Measure and track event performance by analyzing data and conducting post-event evaluations with participants and stakeholders.
  • Program Growth: Continuously work towards improving and optimizing the event experience for our prospects and customers.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to Leads and Coordinators, supporting their development and execution.
  • Cross Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external resources to execute events on time and on budget, including presenters, technical resources, and sales.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Five to seven years of marketing experience
  • Three to five years of tradeshow and event experience is preferred.
  • Strong time management skills and can manage multiple priorities within tight time constraints.
  • Do-what-it-takes mindset to execute against strategy.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and eager to have an impact on a rapidly growing organization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, marketing automation tools, and Wrike, is a plus.
