As a Marketing & Proposal Specialist, you'll develop compelling proposals, manage business development materials, and improve processes while collaborating with teams to enhance city building narratives.
Here at DIALOG, we are passionate about design and believe it can and should meaningfully improve the wellbeing of our communities and the environment we all share.
We are a multi-disciplinary practice of architects, interior designers, urban designers and planners, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, landscape architects and sustainability experts who design for community wellbeing and urban vibrancy. We are a fun-loving bunch of big thinkers and city-shapers, who are collaborative in our approach, diverse in our perspectives, aspirational in our pursuits, and optimistic about what’s next. We’re always looking for passionate people who share our values and care as much about our communities as we do. We're proud to be a Certified B Corporation and one of Canada's Greenest Employers, committed to using our design practice as a force for good in the world.
We’re looking for a Marketing & Proposal Specialist who knows how to turn strategy into compelling stories and complex requirements into clear, persuasive narratives. In this role, you’ll be at the center of our pursuits—partnering with marketing, leadership, and practitioners to shape winning proposals that reflect our vision, our expertise, and our passion for design. If you’re energized by collaboration, meticulous about quality, and motivated by the impact great storytelling can have on city building and the built environment, this could be the role for you.
How you'll make a difference:
- Champion development and delivery of major proposals and business development materials.
- Oversee and facilitate proposal delivery, research and kick-off to interview and close-out.
- Work with marketing and practitioners to lead pursuit strategy and develop successful proposals.
- Develop improved processes, systems and templates for the full pipeline, working closely with Marketing leadership
- Perform detailed analysis of RFP/RFQ documents and develop compelling narratives that demonstrate the value proposition.
- Write non-technical portions of the proposal (cover letters, executive summaries, project descriptions, team qualifications, win themes).
- Contribute to and maintain CRM.
- Perform closeout activities ensuring lessons learned and debriefing process is initiated.
- Review and edit content to ensure responsiveness, accuracy, and emphasis on compelling visual and written narrative.
Who you are:
- University degree and five (5) + years of related experience in the AEC industry.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities efficiently and effectively.
- Confident and poised with strong interpersonal skills, passionate about quality and able to deliver in a high-performance environment, with multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines.
- Passionate about architecture, city building and design.
- Advanced communications skills with a demonstrated ability in partnership-building.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Advanced proficiency in producing brand-aligned, eye-catching visuals for print and digital media (advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is an asset).
- Excellent storytelling skills and ability to prepare compelling and complex proposals.
This post is for an existing vacancy.
Don’t meet every single requirement? We still encourage you to apply! We’re looking for future DIALOGers who are eager to learn, bring unique perspectives, and want to make a real difference in the world—even if your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification.
