Join a passionate Market Intelligence team within the Strategy and Marketing department. This position is responsible for conducting and communicating marketing research and analysis that leads to customer insights that drive strategic and business outcomes, supports the development of strategic plans for internal clients and tracks performance to relevant benchmarks – for example, product positioning or target audience definition or market share tracking.
You’ll be responsible for:

Market Research Thought Leadership - provide thought leadership in conducting and using market research with various lines of businesses, functional areas and with external stakeholders. Lead and partner with cross functional groups fostering data and research maturity and advance a culture of data-driven decision-making. This includes advocating for technical rigour and maintaining research standards.

Executional Excellence - Strive for excellence in executing research studies with external suppliers, by deeply understanding business needs during the intake process, applying methodological rigour in research design, through to generating insights that anchor business decisions.

Relationship Management- focus on building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders/partners/vendors. Work collaboratively with teams across the organization to understand their data and research needs and provide appropriate support and recommendations.

Story-Telling – Effectively communicate key insights behind research data in ways that are salient to internal and external decision-makers and other audiences; this includes writing, visualization and oral communications.

Market Research Budget Management – day-to-day management of market research budgets that ensure efficient deployment of limited resources, assist in development of annual research plans and budgets.
You bring:

University degree or post-graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Market Research or equivalent combination of education and industry experience

5–7 (or more) years of industry experience (Financial Services/Payments industry preferred but not required), in any combination of market research, marketing, product management, account management, data analytics or related experience

3–5 years (or more) experience in market research, preferably supplier-side (but not required), that has equipped you to competently and confidently take the lead on complex research studies with minimal supervision, all the while managing different stakeholders and exercising good professional judgement

Excel at both quantitative and qualitative research as well as secondary research – i.e., a market research generalist

Excellent presentation skills with an ability design, write to deliver presentations to senior business leaders as well as technical & general audiences, with clear, concise & audience tailored messaging; proficiency in relevant software as required (PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite)

Experience & familiarity with Data Analytics, Marketing and Communications and/or Product Management has given you a solid foundation to be both a number cruncher and a big picture thinker

Strong problem-solving and diplomatic skills with an ability to clear roadblocks and resolve issues – bring a “can-do” attitude that fosters a positive and pro-active working environment
