SCOPE OF POSITION:  

The Market Data Analyst serves as the central data and reporting resource for Used Vehicle Sales Operations and Remarketing. The role is responsible for extracting, validating, and managing data from multiple internal and external sources, and transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights. The position ensures delivery of timely, accurate reporting and dashboards that support decision-making across the organization. Success is measured by the quality, consistency, and usability of reporting outputs that enable stakeholders to identify trends, optimize strategies, and drive business performance.  

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Extract, validate, and manage market, sales, and operational data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and availability for reporting and analysis.  

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance standardized and ad hoc reports and dashboards to provide visibility into key performance metrics and trends.  

  • Analyze vehicle pricing, residual values, and market conditions to identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio.  

  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and refine analytics requirements.  

  • Maintain data integrity through quality checks and adherence to governance standards.  

  • Automate and optimize reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.  

  • Document data sources, reporting methodologies, and workflows to ensure consistency and scalability.  

 

POSITION PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum College Diploma required; University degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.  

  • 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or analytics roles (co-op/internship experience considered).  

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation).  

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) considered an asset.  

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.  

  • Ability to translate technical data into clear, business-friendly insights.  

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Ability to manage multiple reporting requests in a fast-paced environment.  

 

RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Collaborates with Sales, Remarketing, Credit, and Risk teams to support reporting needs and data-driven decision-making.  

  • Supports senior leadership through delivery of reporting, dashboards, and insights for business reviews.  

  • Works with brand teams to provide data and analysis on program performance and market trends.  

  • Partners with IT teams to support data sourcing, issue resolution, and reporting enhancements.

HIRING PRACTICES 

  

The salary range for this position is $72,921–$86,593 CAD annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set. 

   

On-Site Occasional Work-from-Home: This is an on-site with occasional work-from-home position that requires employees to work on-site four days per week with the opportunity to work-from-home one day per week (with a dedicated workspace at the assigned company office).
