Job Description

The Management Trainee will have an opportunity to work onsite in different locations throughout the province of Ontario. This development program will help to develop future frontline managers who will play a critical role in leading our teams and ensuring operational excellence. This program offers a unique opportunity to strengthen leadership capabilities, gain comprehensive business knowledge, and advance your career within our organization. 

What you're responsible for:

This development program will be offered for a period of up to 6 months, participants will rotate through all major functions and sites, including: 

  • Call Center – Developing a deep understanding of how we buy car.  
  • Dispatch – Developing a deep understanding of how we bring the car to the sites. 
  • Car Purchasing & Car Sales – Understanding the process of car purchasing in a branch. 
  • Marketing – Developing a deep understanding how we promote our product. 
  • Customer Service – Developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, resolve service issues effectively, and strengthen client relationships. 
  • Operations – Developing a deep understanding of our operational and retail processes (including yard operations & depollution process).  
  • System & Tools – Demonstration of the systems and programs, validate access are granted. 
  • Accident/Injury Investigation – Supporting leadership in investigating workplace incidents, documenting findings, and contributing to corrective action plans that strengthen safety protocols. 
  • Training – Complete the mandatory training on AIM Campus. 
  • Health and Safety – Developing a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management and proactive safety practices.  

This is a hands-on, field-based program where most of the day is spent working directly with frontline employees. Trainees will gain practical experience in coaching, mentoring, and leading diverse teams while reinforcing the highest standards of safety and compliance. 

By the end of the program, participants will be able to: 

  • Lead operations in a branch including yard management and depollution. 
  • Lead retail activities in a branch including assisting customers throughout their purchasing — from locating products in the yard and recommending appropriate warranty options.  
  • Support vehicle purchasing and sales transactions by ensuring all processes are followed and required documentation is completed accurately.  
  • Identify and access relevant information efficiently while ensuring all required documentation and processes are completed. 
  • Coach and support employees in their daily activities to ensure operational efficiency and service excellence. 

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have graduated from college, university, or trade school
  • You have 5 to 10 years of experience in retail and/or customer service
  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience managing a team
  • You are a professional communicator with strong written and oral communication and professional email etiquette
  • You are organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively
  • You are analytical with strong critical and logical thinking skills to support sound decision-making
