Manager, Product Innovation & Strategy, Foundry
Overview
Mastercard Foundry is the innovation engine of Mastercard and a hub for new product development. We do this by driving product innovation in emerging technologies and interfaces while focusing on developing a point of view to enhance existing solutions and new use-cases. We also focus on building revenue generating ecosystems and flywheels that can be standalone in adjacent segments and markets. Examples of focus areas include commercial payments, new payment flows, real time payments, data and services.
Within Foundry, the Manager, Product Innovation & Strategy will lead the execution of new product initiatives across Mastercard's Business & Market Insights and Open Finance groups. This role combines product innovation, customer discovery, market testing, and business case development to help bring new concepts from idea to commercialization. Responsibilities include identification, execution, and in-market delivery of new products and solutions. This includes execution of near-term opportunities that drive significant in year revenue and strategic differentiation for Mastercard, as well as scoping, identification, and in-market testing of longer-term product concepts and solutions.
Role: • Engage in idea generation for new, data and analytics focused products and solutions including workshop facilitation and collateral development.• Contribute to developing product concepts and prototypes and independently own and deliver key tasks associated with it.• Conduct customer discovery activities, including customer interviews, feedback sessions, and market testing to validate product concepts and inform product development decisions.• Partner with Product & Engineering partners and our Customer Experience & Design on concept validation and market testing and deliver key tasks associated with it.• Contribute/own business case development and planning for individual products.• Own and deliver high-quality collateral materials to facilitate internal decision making.• Lead cross functional workshops and manage follow up actions to completion.• Work within a matrixed organization to influence and drive outcomes within tight timelines.
All About You• Proven experience building and validating new products.• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills - background in AI a plus.• Strong product development and management experience, including rapid opportunity identification, concept development, business model innovation, and in market testing of global products is preferred.• In-depth understanding of payment ecosystem or previous experience working in Payment's innovation space delivering new to market value propositions.• Critical thinker that is comfortable with technical details, and experience working with R&D teams.• Experience in product strategy, innovation, venture building, or management consulting is a plus.• Flair in connecting people and ideas; ability to operate in a matrix environment.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in Canada, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive pay based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
