At CI, we see a great place to work as one that is a safe place for everyone to have a voice, where people are empowered to take ownership over meaningful work, where there is an opportunity to grow through stretching themselves, where they can work on innovative products and projects, and where employees are supported and engaged in doing so.

We are currently seeking a Manager - Operational Communications to support operational change and business priorities across the Canada Wealth business. In this hands on role, you will be accountable for crafting and delivering high impact written communications that enable understanding, confidence, and adoption among internal stakeholders and Wealth Advisors.
You will translate complex operational and change initiatives into clear, compelling, and audience focused communications, while also establishing a consistent, disciplined approach to how change is communicated across the business. This role is an individual contributor position with enterprise level influence and accountability for authorship excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Author, edit, and deliver critical operational and change communications impacting Canada Wealth, including enterprise initiatives, regulatory changes, and process transformations.
  • Translate complex change plans into clear, concise, and actionable messaging that clearly articulates what’s changing, why it matters, and what actions are required.
  • Own the end‑to‑end communication lifecycle, including message development, drafting, refinement, approvals, and final delivery.
  • Serve as the primary author for advisor‑facing communications, ensuring clarity, relevance, and practical application within advisor practices.
  • Develop internal communications that support operational readiness, risk mitigation, and business continuity.
  • Determine the most effective format and channel for each message (e.g., email, job aids, FAQs, intranet content, presentations), with a strong emphasis on written effectiveness.
  • Apply deep understanding of Wealth Management audiences to tailor communications by role, impact, and urgency.
  • Anticipate advisor, leader, and operational questions, proactively addressing risks, implications, and concerns through clear written content.
  • Use structured storytelling and plain‑language principles to improve engagement, comprehension, and adoption.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders, operations, compliance, risk, and change teams to shape messaging, sequencing, and timing.
  • Challenge incomplete or unclear inputs to ensure communications are accurate, coherent, compliant, and advisor‑ready.
  • Maintain high standards for tone, clarity, consistency, and professional polish across all communications.
  • Ensure all communications align with brand, legal, risk, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess communication effectiveness through feedback and engagement metrics, refining approaches to improve clarity and impact.
  • Provide informal guidance or coaching on writing standards where appropriate, while remaining directly accountable for authoring key communications.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Exceptional written communication skills, with a proven ability to personally craft senior‑level, advisor‑facing communications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change and operational communications within complex, regulated organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of Wealth Management, including advisor business models, operations, products, and regulatory environments.
  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to simplify complexity without losing accuracy or intent.
  • Highly audience‑centric mindset, with sensitivity to advisor impact, operational readiness, and risk considerations.
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and stakeholders, including the ability to challenge inputs constructively.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple high‑priority initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in communications, change management, or business communications, preferably within Wealth Management or Financial Services.
  • Proven track record of hands‑on authorship of enterprise, advisor‑facing, and operational communications.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale operational change or regulatory initiatives.
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
