Our scope ranges from recommending how to use content more effectively to optimizing daily media channel performance and maximizing visibility in eCommerce platforms.

The Manager, Print and Out of Home (OOH) Media leads thought leadership, team trainings, and strategic insights about the print and OOH landscape. This role is pivotal in driving: innovation; print and OOH share of spend; and vendor training with planning teams, while fostering strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with deep media expertise, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering impactful innovation in the print and OOH space.

 

Media:
•    Works with team leadership to understand market dynamics (pricing, executional opportunities) and strengthen vendor relationships
•    Consistently deliver advice and support to planners that encompass the best environments for each client’s target audience, while also maximizing value and efficiency
•    Works with planning teams to ensure timely delivery of assets needed for special executions
•    Works with team leadership to prepare reporting documentation for Media Brands, Clients demonstrating the strategy and rationale executed to deliver campaign KPIs
•    Works with OOH team to ensure discrepancy completion before 90 days past month aired
•    Monitors open payables for each month and works with team to resolve any payable discrepancies to ensure accurate campaign posting
•    Oversee a team of four (4) who input, clear and actualizes each campaign

 

Client & Internal Relationships:
•    Manages day-to-day interaction with the planning teams spending 80% of their time on dentsu and 20% of their time on working with Billups as the activation arm.
•    Manages expectations of Investment arm, Media Brands and deliverables - critically defend/rationalize vendor/property selection to internal stakeholders
•    Works closely with the planning teams throughout to understand and review future campaigns

•    Functions well in high-pressure situations, with an ability to stay calm and collected and deliver efficient solutions
•    Builds vendor relationships for key accounts to ensure innovation is brought to the planning teams along with applicable training
•    Builds positive relationships with internal and external teams and sets a good example for their peers

 

Strategic Thinking:
•    Assesses problems and concerns in a systematic, logical and rational manner
•    Constantly curious and participates in face-to-face vendor meetings
•    Keeps up with the latest trends in Print and Out of Home media
•    Proactively resolve issues, knows when and who to escalate to
•    Priority management when it concerns managing work streams
•    Contributes to strategizing ways to train and build OOH landscape decks

 

Communications Skills:
•    Ability to organize ideas and present back information logically and sequentially
•    Assists in the development of media presentations and tactical POVs
•    Ensures key information is provided to the team regarding client issues and/or internal agency issues as they arise

Qualifications 

  • Post-secondary Degree in Media, Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in media planning and buying, with a focus on Print and OOH. 

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale media campaigns and vendor relationships. 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strategic thinker with a detail-oriented mindset and a passion for media innovation.

The salary range for this position is $80k-$90k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
