What you’ll do :

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership & Team Management 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical analytics professionals (data analysts, BI developers, data scientists and/or data engineers), creating clarity around priorities and expectations 

  • Foster a high performance, collaborative team culture that balances speed, quality, and innovationperformance, collaborative team culture that balances speed, quality, and innovation 

  • Remove blockers, set direction, and keep the team focused on delivering value 

Stakeholder Partnership & Communication 

  • Act as the primary translator between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding of goals, constraints, and outcomes 

  • Partner closely with senior business leaders to understand strategic objectives and operational challenges 

  • Clearly communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and decisions in a concise and compelling wayoffs, and decisions in a concise and compelling way 

Business Problem Translation 

  • Translate business questions into structured data, analytics, or AI approaches, selecting the right methodology for the problem at hand 

  • Guide the team in framing problems, defining success metrics, and designing analytical solutions that are actionable and scalable 

  • Ensure insights and outputs are clearly tied back to business impact and decision-makingmaking 

Project & Delivery Management 

  • Own end-to-end delivery of analytics and AI initiatives, from intake through execution and releasetoend delivery of analytics and AI initiatives, from intake through execution and release 

  • Manage project timelines, dependencies, and resourcing across multiple concurrent initiatives

Technical Direction & Quality 

  • Lead a technical team by setting standards for analytical rigor, data quality, and solution design 

  • Review and guide technical approaches without needing to be the hands-on builderon builder 

  • Ensure solutions are maintainable, well documented, and aligned with enterprise data and AI standardsdocumented, and aligned with enterprise data and AI standards 

 

What you bring :

  • 2+ years proven experience leading and managing an analytics or data science team 

  • 2+ years Experience supporting retail, store operations, or field based organizations. Preferred candidate would have been in a hands on analytics or data science role priorbased organizations 

  • Strong project and delivery management experience, with a track record of meeting timelines 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align both technical and nontechnical audiences 

  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear data or AI approaches 

  • Experience working with analytics and data platforms. Exposure to AI driven use cases and advanced analytics in a business environment-driven use cases and advanced analyticsdriven use cases and advanced analytics 

  • Ability to research and learn new technologies and onboard team 

  • Comfort operating in a fast paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders 

  • SAFe certification is an asset

Broadband Salary Range: $79,000.00 - 131,000.00 CAD Annual

Our typical hiring range is between $90,000.00 - 130,000.00 CAD per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements
