Moneris is looking for a Software Development Manager who is passionate about development, doing it right and having fun. This role will serve as a technical leader for Moneris Go Retail product, driving roadmap delivery and integration.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll doLead a best-in-class engineering team
Drive the architecture, development and delivery of high-quality, high-security, high-availability solutions
Champion engineering best practices (such as shift left testing) and continuous improvement
Provide hands-on coaching to the team at an architectural and code-review level
Own roadmap delivery, facilitate scrum ceremonies, and ensure team integration
Deliver on all technical commitments in the product roadmap
Support day-to-day scrum team ceremonies, including managing tech backlog, managing resourcing of developers, managing software releases
Lead team to deliver high quality features and enhancements to the product, maintaining strong test coverage, secure infrastructure and clean code practices
Team Leadership
Communicate your team’s accomplishments, risks, and KPIs
Support direct reports in performance and development plan milestones, retention and growth plans for top talent
Proven team leadership experience
Development experience with React, React Native, Nodejs, relational databases, and iOS/Android app development
Experience architecting and delivering high-quality, high-security, and high-availability solutions
Experience using GitHub and GitHub actions
Experience writing test automation (unit, API, and UI would be great)
Experience with cloud services (Azure would be great) and managing infrastructure as code (Terraform would be great)
A passion for continuous learning about emerging technologies and software best practices
Strong communication, collaboration, accountability, and problem-solving skills
