Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP): 

The Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a trusted partner to business leaders for all HR matters. As a Manager, HRBP, you’ll align HR programs with business strategy and relevant employment laws and regulations.  You’ll also work with leaders to effectively design their organization and optimize talent, and advise, coach, and support leaders to maximize performance, effectively lead change, encourage teamwork, and engage and develop talent.  You will lead a team of two HRBPs supporting the Operations function.   

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Senior Vice President and Vice President-level executives to provide expert guidance on people-related matters and drive business objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of two HR Business Partners, ensuring their continuous development and alignment with company goals.
  • Participate in the development of strategic business plans and subsequent talent strategies with HR and business leaders to meet business objectives.
  • Contribute to the delivery of talent strategies through insights, data and solutions to leaders on priorities and needs. Delivers input and feedback on program / policy design to the Director and HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and provide recommendations on program execution.
  • Develop relationships with the business to provide value-added HR counsel aligned to business objectives.
  • Champion a client-focused culture to deepen customer relationships and help the business achieve their overall financial and customer objectives.
  • Collaborate with COEs to deploy cyclical programs such as employee engagement surveys, leadership resource planning, year-end performance and talent management and compensation reviews.
  • Collaborate with COEs to deploy projects and initiatives that are required to be executed in the areas of learning and development, recruitment and onboarding, transformation and change management, competitive market reviews, and total reward initiatives.
  • Prepare and contributes to written communications to propose recommendations and / or update the business on initiatives as well as decks for business presentations and meetings.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment
  • Collaborate with and supports all members of the HR community.
  • Proactively utilize a wide range of HR data to identify themes, trends and correlations to make recommendations and effectively support HR strategies and programs to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of HR experience, preferably in an HR Business Partner or generalist capacity.
  • Experience practicing HR in a large-scale matrix organization.
  • Proven experience leading an HR team of generalists.
  • Undergraduate degree and or graduate degree, with a focus on business/human resources
  • CHRP, CHRL or other HR designation, or in progress is an asset.

Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Strong communications, written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with all levels of the organization. Able to collaborate with HR stakeholders and business partners and coach managers.
  • Actively listens and seeks to understand needs with genuine curiosity.
  • Intermediate to advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note skills and Workday.
  • Identifies solutions through effective questioning and fact finding.
  • Able to review data, glean insights and present findings aligned to the talent strategy or to solve a business problem. Understands how the data relates to actions and results for an individual person or team.
  • Excellent project planning and delivery skills to oversee execution of complex communications strategies.
  • Strong problem solving, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to effectively perform in a complex, high change environment while being a positive steward for HR function.
  • Results oriented, accountable and able to effectively execute in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to build strong cross-cultural and cross-divisional relationships within HR and the Business

The hiring base salary range for this position is $99,200 - $136,400 CAD annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.”
