Position Overview:
As the Manager for Global Sustainability Procurement, you will play a key role in driving McCain's global sustainability efforts, focusing on procurement strategies that support our environmental goals. You'll work alongside regional procurement leaders to meet our commitments in areas like reducing our Scope 3 carbon footprint, renewable energy, deforestation, and food waste. Additionally, you will refine and implement McCain's Responsible Sourcing policy. Reporting to the Global Director of Sustainable Procurement, this role works closely with key stakeholders including the VP, Global Indirect & Sustainable Procurement, regional Procurement VPs, and the Chief Procurement Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Engagement & Scope 3 Reduction Strategy:

  • Lead the global Scope 3 reduction strategy to help achieve McCain's 30% reduction target by 2030.
  • Engage and c ollaborate with suppliers to collect CO2 data, refine emission factors, and improve Scope 3 inventory.
  • Provide support and guidance to suppliers and internal teams to reduce emissions and track performance.


Renewable Electricity Targets:

  • Oversee McCain's global renewable electricity sourcing strategy.
  • Manage regional projects to ensure renewable electricity goals are met, maximizing sustainability while minimizing costs.
  • Support regional energy managers in project approvals and execution.


Responsible Sourcing Strategy:

  • Refine refine and implement McCain's Responsible Sourcing program in collaboration with regional teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage the SEDEX workstream and develop training for regional procurement teams.


Sustainability Data & Reporting:

  • Lead on-going and ad hoc data collection, conduct analysis and provide recommendations to meet McCain's sustainability goals
  • Lead annual procurement data collection and reporting in partnership with the Global Sustainability team.
  • Work with the Digital Procurement team to enhance data collection and reporting efficiency.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a sustainability-related field.
  • 7+ years' experience in corporate sustainability, with a strong focus on supplier engagement and responsible sourcing.
  • Experience in the agricultural or manufacturing sectors is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as CDP, CSRD, and EUDR.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary global teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.
