This role is responsible for leading Group Pension and Insurance Solution Sales teams that deliver services remotely across Canada with a focus on driving sales growth
How you will create impact:
- Drives sales growth and meets targets by effectively leading the virtual financial planning team and the insurance solutions team
- Designs, implements, and maintains a strategic sales plan
- Partners with other shared service areas (e.g. Client services, Policy Holder services, New Business to enhance and refresh own knowledge and methods to identify clients who should be transferred to Telesales
- Builds, promotes, and maintains strong working relationships with stakeholders such as key Business and Dept. Leaders, Advisors, clients – including the team as a whole
- Participates in planning activities such as providing input into strategic plans, developing unit plans, identifying priorities and scope of activities for unit operations, designing/modifying work structures to meet business needs, and planning high-level operational efficiencies
- Provides overview and guidance to consultants executing on strategic implementations in Product/Proxy Product Owner roles
- Acts as subject matter expert/point person for the overall business operation of the Virtual Financial Planning team
- Participates in product development projects for new product or service enhancements
To join our team:
- You have 10 years of experience in Insurance and Financial services industry.
- You have either CFP, CLU, LLQP or Mutual Funds licensing
- You have in-depth knowledge of wealth (Individual and group) and life insurance products.
- You have thorough knowledge of the Co-operators financial services and products and how they relate to those of the competition in addition to processes and systems.
- You have implemented process changes resulting in efficiencies.
- You have internal/external product knowledge.
- You have the ability to build trusting relations and provide feedback to enable the successful development of your team and colleagues.

Expected salary range $91,058 - $141,058+
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
