Our integrated solutions align strategy, talent, media, and technology with culturally relevant creativity to scale the world’s fastest-growing digital brands. Viral Nation offers a fluid, creative, and growth-oriented environment that will support your ambitions to apply your talents in an open, collaborative, and fast-paced culture. Our ability to stay at the forefront of the industry has fuelled our success and will guide us in paving the path forward. We’re driven to push boundaries and think beyond today to deliver strategies, and we’re just getting started.

While we continuously exceed our goals, we need your help – our success is only as great as our people. Strong performance leads to high expectations, and we must keep raising the bar!

As the Manager, Financial Systems and Processes, you will be the bridge between our finance operations and our technology stack. You will own the finance application stack and the data flows between those systems, administering Business Central (D365), Cosmos, Emburse/Chrome River, Navan, Trolley, Float, Stampli, and the finance side of HubSpot. You will run the recurring integrations that keep employee, customer, project and expense data synchronised across them, support month-end close from the systems side, and act as the primary point of contact for finance system end-users and external vendor partners. You will be responsible for the architecture, optimization, and management of the systems that power our global finance function, automating manual workflows and providing the "single source of truth" for reporting. The role is hands-on and technical, requiring a blend of accounting expertise and technical systems mastery.

What You Will Do Here:
  • Define and execute the long-term architecture and integration roadmaps for the finance tech stack, managing everything from ERP configurations and upgrades to ongoing optimization and security.
  • Partner with leadership to assess future-state requirements and translate them into prioritized initiatives.
  • Lead the end-to-end integration between the ERP and third-party providers, including AP systems, tax engines, payments systems, financial reporting tool and corporate card programs to enable real-time data flow.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying manual bottlenecks and implementing automated or AI-driven solutions to create capacity, reduce recurring manual effort, and improve data reliability across Finance processes.
  • Design and maintain sophisticated financial dashboards and reporting tools to provide leadership with real-time visibility into project margins, revenue recognition, and key performance metrics.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of system initiatives, including requirement gathering, vendor selection, implementation management and user acceptance testing for new modules or systems.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between finance, IT, and external vendors to align system capabilities with business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for key financial systems.
  • Oversee finance systems maintenance including configurations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring proper testing, documentation, and change controls.
  • Partner with IT to manage issue resolution, system performance, and reliable data flows across platforms.
  • Establish robust internal controls, security protocols, and data standards to ensure GAAP compliance, mitigate risk, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Proactively monitor system performance and integrations to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, ensuring high reliability for all financial platforms.
  • Create comprehensive process documentation and lead training sessions for cross-functional teams to ensure successful adoption of new financial systems and workflows.
  • Support all pillars of the finance function from a systems perspective, ensuring each has the data, access and reporting it needs.
  • Lead change management discussions as the representative of Finance, assessing downstream impact on finance systems and data before changes are approved.
What You'll Need To Have:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial systems, or finance transformation roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, controls, and month-end close activities.
  • Experience with ERP systems and related finance applications; implementation or enhancement experience required.
  • Business Central (D365) Online experience required, as both a system administrator and an advanced user.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, IT, and business teams, including the ability to translate technical requirements into plain language for non-finance users, translate finance requirements into technical terms for IT and vendors, and carry technical constraints back to Finance accurately.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with non-finance teams, including gathering requirements from users who do not use finance terminology.
  • Project management experience, including planning, stakeholder coordination, testing and delivery of system implementations or upgrades.
  • Experience drafting SOPs, process documentation and user-facing guides.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves:

  • AP and payments systems implementation experience.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Navan, Emburse, Stampli and Float.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools like COSMOS, Datarails, Veena etc.
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude) for scripting and automation, with the ability to build and maintain lightweight scripts without a formal programming background.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Power Query experience.
  • Power Automate experience.
This role has an annual salary range of $120,000 - $135,000 CAD

This range reflects the full scope and progression of the role, from building capability to operating with sustained impact at a higher level. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package designed to support our team as they grow with us.
