About the role.
The Manager of Digital Manufacturing Applications is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and lifecycle management of a diverse portfolio of 20+ manufacturing software applications. This role drives digital transformation across manufacturing operations by aligning technology with business objectives, ensuring operational excellence, and enabling scalable, secure, and compliant systems. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on program execution, while fostering collaboration across IT, OT, and business stakeholders.
What you'll be doing.
  • Develop and execute the long-term strategy for the digital manufacturing applications portfolio, aligning with business and operational objectives
  • Evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement across manufacturing systems
  • Optimize the application landscape by consolidating or decommissioning redundant tools to improve cost efficiency and scalability
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract renewals and negotiations to ensure optimal performance and value
  • Define program objectives, project scope, timelines, and budgets for digital manufacturing initiatives
  • Lead cross-functional teams, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and change management efforts
  • Provide consistent project updates to stakeholders and conduct post-implementation reviews to capture learnings
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product owners and support personnel, setting clear goals and KPIs
  • Oversee application lifecycle management, ensuring high availability, cybersecurity, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Drive incident and problem management practices, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement of systems

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing IT/OT systems, with leadership responsibility preferred
  • Deep expertise with manufacturing applications such as HMI/SCADA, data historians, packaging intelligence, SPC/MPC, reliability, and EHS systems
  • Proven ability to define program objectives and manage end-to-end project execution, including scope, budgets, and timelines
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change management in complex environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including delivering executive-level updates
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, systems integration, and regulatory compliance within manufacturing environments

The Digital Manufacturing Applications team is a global, cross-functional group comprised of product owners, technical experts, and support personnel dedicated to enabling manufacturing excellence through technology. This role leads and develops a high-performing team while collaborating closely with IT, OT, Quality, Operations, and external partners to deliver scalable and impactful digital solutions.

Compensation Package : $102,700.00 - $137,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
