What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred fields of study include: Data Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Statistics or similar related fields, with 8+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of TransUnion Credit Data and Acquisition processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Must be comfortable presenting ideas and information to all levels within the organization.
  • Experience in managing a team of analysts with the ability to motivate team members to meet team goals and measuring results.
  • Experience facilitating discussions with groups of stakeholders with varying goals and accountabilities related to core business datasets.
  • Strategic, conceptual thinker with proven ability to facilitate organizational and behavioral change.
  • Proven experience in data analytics concepts, processes, and applying industry best practices.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing priorities and highly organized with attention to detail; comfortable working under deadlines and producing key deliverables.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in resolving complex challenges within a dynamic matrix environment.
  • Ability to develop and socialize the success of operational programs and processes using metrics.
  • Ability to communicate your vision, work cross-functionally to design and implement solutions to drive positive results for the organization.

Impact You'll Make:
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic, Data Performance Manager, to support a team of Analysts and collaborate with multiple internal groups to achieve our long-term objectives for employing Information for Good. This role operates a team to successfully meet objectives for continuous improvement of the database and equipping internal areas and external customers with insights needed to gain maximum value from our core asset, credit data. The role leverages data analysis, management skills, project management, and collaboration to ensure that risks and issues are resolved and all of TransUnion's employees and customers know where to go to understand TU's data.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the successful development, integration and launch of new/enhanced applications, products, processes, and/or business rules in support of multiple business units including Data Operations, Data Governance, Global Technology, Legal, Compliance and Product.
Core Duties:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities including delegating projects and managing team workload, work assignments, and quality of performance by providing coaching in effort to accomplish desired end results.
  • Development of data analysis and quality best practices along with appropriate goals and metrics for measuring success.
  • Lead and champion our operating model using new technology and applications while delivering high quality results while taking active role in roll-out of Global Operating model.
  • Developing of project estimates, business cases and budgets and develop, execute and coordinate changes to projects plans and schedules.
  • Build and drive internal continuous improvement culture through innovation, collaboration, and lean thinking while achieving organizational buy-in.
  • Develop and create operations and workflow management processes and procedures while introducing metrics to measure success.
  • Communicate data incidents to business leaders, legal, compliance, and customers/furnishers and introduce processes to mitigate future risk.
  • Use problem solving skills, and knowledge of our applications and processes to introduce resolutions that limit impact to customers/consumers.
  • Create and formalize proactive strategies to advance data quality monitoring and improve our data quality.
  • Work with product managers and technical leads to determine scope and priorities for product development cycles.
  • Work with GT to analyze data and test results to ensure integrity is maintained throughout program lifecycle and ensure market and business needs are satisfied.
  • Conduct Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) in relation to major data events and/or application/platform changes to ensure no material impact to data & products which could adversely impact customers and/or consumers.
  • Develop and implement processes & system enhancements to establish and maintain data quality standards.
  • Review current operations and identify opportunities in tools, processes, and talent, to make recommendations towards increased quality and efficiency.


This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
