Job Description:

What will you work on?
Reporting to the Senior Director, Credit and Collections Operations, the Manager, Credit Risk and Reporting, will be a key member of the Accounts Receivable team. The Manager, Credit Risk and Reporting, will lead the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful consolidated reporting and analytics for Accounts Receivable as well as manage the credit risk profiles relating to Spin Master’s customers. This role is a valuable role within Finance Shared Services and partners closely with the regional Accounts receivable teams, Group Accounting, Brand Finance, Treasury and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced analytics capabilities, and people leadership experience in a complex, public company environment. This role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to be part of a growing business, to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
How will you create impact?

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of recurring management reports, dashboards, and analytics for senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of financial data across reporting outputs
  • Maintain strong internal controls and public company reporting requirements, including monthly/quarterly close, variance analysis, and audit support
  • Monitor and actively manage the credit risk profiles for Spin Master’s customer base
  • Develop and enhance financial analytics that provide actionable insights into performance, trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise narratives for non-finance stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting tools, data visualization, and automation (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ERP reporting tools)
  • Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams across the business including Treasury, Accounting, Reporting, Corporate Finance, and key business partners

What are your skills and experience?

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Accounting designation is an asset
  • 3+ years’ experience in finance, reporting or analytics in a public company setting, preferably in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry, or a public accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial statements, management reporting and internal controls
  • Experience with large ERP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.), advanced reporting tools, and advanced level Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas)
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau is an asset

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $100,000 to $115,000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
