Job Description

The Manager, Corporate Communications oversees all aspects of CTC’s internal communications operations. You’ll balance creative ambition with operational discipline, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on brand, and on budget — while leading a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage an enterprise employee communications portfolio to build understanding, alignment and engagement across CTC—connecting teams to strategy, priorities and culture.
  • Lead and develop a small team of communications professionals, building capability and delivering high-quality, integrated employee communications in partnership with internal stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to shape messaging, channel strategy and change communications that drive clarity, alignment and adoption.
  • Act as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders, and establish communications governance (editorial standards, alignment and approvals) to ensure consistency across leaders, functions and enterprise moments.
  • Drive employee communications for enterprise transformation and major initiatives, building awareness, understanding and sustained behaviour change across the organization.
  • Plan and deliver communication strategies for key moments (e.g., enterprise initiatives and events)—defining objectives, audiences, messaging, channels and cadence—and manage enterprise narrative flow and prioritization to reduce noise.
  • Develop and execute enterprise communication plans and campaigns that improve clarity and strengthen engagement (e.g., enterprise updates, strategy rollouts, culture moments).
  • Craft clear, engaging content for internal audiences, including executive messages, employee stories, scripts, FAQs and presentations.
  • Support internal communications during issues or sensitive situations, ensuring employees receive timely, accurate and aligned updates in coordination with enterprise response strategies.
  • Collaborate closely within Corporate Communications (external communications, corporate events, content and channels, and film/production) to deliver aligned, high-quality storytelling and enterprise moments.
  • Define and measure communication effectiveness using data and feedback (e.g., engagement, sentiment, adoption), linking insights to business outcomes and continuously improving strategies.
  • Leverage digital tools and AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., Copilot) to enhance content development, efficiency and personalization of communications.

Who You Are

  • Highly collaborative and proactive, consistently looking to raise the bar for employee experience and communications quality.
  • You thrive in an in-office environment and value the day-to-day collaboration it enables—co-creating with partners, moving work forward quickly, and building strong team relationships.
  • Demonstrates our everyday behaviours—Driven, Courageous and United—and models them in how we work.
  • Leads with integrity and transparency and communicates clearly and respectfully—especially when expectations are high, or situations are sensitive.
  • Gives and receives constructive feedback with a “clear is kind” approach—direct, respectful and focused on helping others do their best work.
  • Assumes positive intent and approaches challenges with curiosity—asking questions, seeking context and finding practical paths forward.
  • Brings a strong sense of accountability and end-to-end ownership—closing loops, following through, and holding a high bar for quality and timelines.
  • Creative, with sound judgement and the ability to simplify complex topics for frontline and corporate audiences.
  • Action-oriented and comfortable operating in ambiguity—able to move quickly while bringing partners along.
  • Outcome-focused and analytical—able to assess what’s working and adjust plans based on insights.
  • An agile self-starter with strong influencing skills, who builds trust across leaders and teams to deliver clear, timely communications.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10 years of progressive experience in communications, with significant experience in employee and/or enterprise communications.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience tailoring messages for different internal audiences.
  • Post-secondary education in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related degree/diploma
  • Demonstrated experience building integrated internal communication plans, including channel strategy, messaging frameworks and leader communication toolkits.
  • Proven ability to manage and coach team members and/or agency partners to deliver high-quality work on tight timelines.
  • Track record supporting change communications and transformation initiatives, including adoption messaging, readiness communications and reinforcement plans.
  • Excellent spoken and interpersonal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, prioritize and deliver communications on time in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong relationship builder who can partner effectively across functions and levels and respond quickly to shifting business priorities.
  • Leadership through accountability—drives outcomes, follows through and holds a high standard.
  • Demonstrated track record partnering with senior leaders and executive offices to deliver clear, aligned enterprise messaging and coordinating across communications functions to execute.
  • Creative, professional and self-motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset and strong understanding of internal communications best practices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as required to support enterprise announcements and events, which may include early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.
