The Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of marketing communications, promotions, programs and events in support of DA divisional goals for both Samsung Electronics Digital Appliances and Dacor Canada. Working with the Product and Sales teams, this position will understand the marketing objectives that need to be achieved and then work with internal stakeholders within DA, Corporate Marketing, Marketing Agencies and channel partners, to create the deliverables that achieve SECA marketing and SECA business objectives. While the position will focus on marketing communications, the incumbent needs to be flexible enough to work on ad hoc marketing programs, as the needs of the business arise.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Integrated Marketing Communications: Product Launch Planning and execution for Samsung DA and Dacor (70%)

  • Determine key messaging and positioning for product and services launches
  • Lead launch team that includes internal and external stakeholders, including the Product Team, SEA (Samsung Electronics America) & HQ counterparts
  • Create communications and programs that support these product and services launches, including but not limited to:
    • Channel materials
    • Advertising materials for end users and channel use
    • Social media messaging and programs
    • Public Relations messaging and strategy
    • Experiential and/or assisted selling programs
    • CRM Communications
    • Online materials and resources
  • Be responsible for reviewing any materials and or messaging related to the launch to ensure consistency and alignment with positioning
  • Act as the champion for brand integrity and compliance in all materials
  • Ensure all reviews and approvals are gained (legal, partners, brands, etc.)
  • Estimate scope of work, prepare budgets, and create plan proposals (PPs) and execution orders (EOs) as part of the planning and approval process
  • Provide liaison with HQ, SEA or third parties to source marketing assets
  • Brief agencies and ensure work is delivered as specified
  • Review key programs to ensure ROI targets are achieved

Channel Marketing Support for Communications and Programs (10%)

  • Act as the champion for brand style and compliance on all materials
  • Support the channels with materials as required to deliver channel programs through an appropriate online tool
  • This position will collaborate with the Merchandising to ensure a high degree of compliment between the out of store and in-store communications and activities, that support our key product launches
  • Review all communication elements to ensure alignment to the product strategy, as well as branding
  • Estimate scope of work, prepare budgets, and create plan proposals (PPs) and execution orders (EOs) as part of the planning and approval process

CE (HE/DA/EBD) Cross-Divisional Programming (10%)

  • Lead select ATL/BTL strategic campaigns outside of direct product launches/similar with the broader CE Marketing team focused on cross-divisional project management, strategy development/plan execution and third party business relations – ie. joint business planning across all CE Divisions for key customers/accounts
  • Work as the respective CE representative on larger corporate programs
  • Find opportunities for CE to maximize ROI for corporate sponsorship programs

General Marketing Operations Support (10%)

  • Coordinates system submission and approvals (legal, marketing, finance, sample management) for marketing initiatives in order to support on time execution of marketing programs; this includes following up with key business stakeholders to ensure that approvals are taking place on time, and escalating if they are not
  • Legal approvals include AD-LCP, and ECMS management
  • Marketing Finance initiatives include Plan Proposal submissions, Execution orders, Payment Requests, PUMI submissions, and FOC orders
  • Marketing budget chequebook management for owned projects
  • Sample Management includes warehouse management and sample portal requests

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements

Education:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business or Marketing preferred

Knowledge:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
  • Digital marketing platforms (for example, social media channels)
  • Basic comprehension of French is preferred but not mandatory
  • Grasp of AI Tools

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years work experience in a marketing role preferred
  • Experience must include proven performance in creative brief writing; original & adapted advertising creative & media plan development.
  • Experience must include digital marketing

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $93,000 to $128,000 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience. This posting is for a current job vacancy.
