Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, quality and environmental management systems as well as corporate and local policies;

  • Performs role in a manner that is reflective of Brenntag’s Core Values, within regulatory requirements and company policies, programs and expectations;

  • Promotes planning efficiencies in road and rail, offering options that meet both customer and company needs;

  • Support Traffic Operations groups to improve shipping performance and align customer service to transportation selection and optimization;

  • Coordinates alignment of carriers and orders, specifically maintaining and monitoring food safety activities in compliance with company and customer standards;

  • Assists management in developing standardized TMS processes to effectively manage business inquiries in areas of rates and orders;

  • Input and support of vendor/customer information and carrier information;

  • Work with management to participate in new business implementation, transportation support for procurement orders;

  • Development and documentation of account specific SOP’s;

  • Create and update policies and procedures for all logistics activities with a special eye on safety;

  • Works with management to develop a streamlined process for managing ocean, air, courier and freight forwarding orders;

  • Completes other tasks and special projects as required.

Your ProfileEducation and Experience:
  • Post-Secondary Education; College Diploma in business or equivalent would be preferred

  • Previous experience in dispatching/warehousing, preferably in the Chemical Industry (2+ years)

  • Sound skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Previous experience/exposure with ERP systems, preferably SAP, would be considered an asset

  • Previous exposure to compliance systems, such as CompliantPro, would be beneficial

  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written

  • Highly organized and possesses effective time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Bilingual in French is an asset
