Location Safety Manager – Ajax, Ontario

The Location Safety Manager provides operational oversight, guidance, and leadership to ensure compliance with safety standards and to foster a culture of safety across the location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage driver hiring and compliance processes
  • Provide direction and support to location trainers
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and workplace injuries; determine cause and corrective actions
  • Prepare and submit compliance documentation, maintain records, and update systems
  • Deliver training and coaching to drivers and attendants on passenger management and safety practices
  • Conduct driver road checks and performance evaluations
  • Supervise employees responsible for safety, driver hiring, and training
  • Generate reports and analyze safety trends to recommend improvements

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in transportation or health and safety
  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in safety or transportation is an asset)
  • Knowledge of Ontario safety regulations and applicable federal standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Reliable vehicle for travel within the service area
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
