Location Safety Manager – Ajax, Ontario

The Location Safety Manager provides operational oversight, guidance, and leadership to ensure compliance with safety standards and to foster a culture of safety across the location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage driver hiring and compliance processes
- Provide direction and support to location trainers
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and workplace injuries; determine cause and corrective actions
- Prepare and submit compliance documentation, maintain records, and update systems
- Deliver training and coaching to drivers and attendants on passenger management and safety practices
- Conduct driver road checks and performance evaluations
- Supervise employees responsible for safety, driver hiring, and training
- Generate reports and analyze safety trends to recommend improvements
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in transportation or health and safety
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in safety or transportation is an asset)
- Knowledge of Ontario safety regulations and applicable federal standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Reliable vehicle for travel within the service area
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
