Build and manage MaintainX’s localization infrastructure, including translation pipelines, tooling, terminology assets, quality standards, machine translation evaluation, human review, and language service provider relationships. Coordinate localization operations across Product, Documentation, Customer Education, and Marketing; resolve workflow and quality issues; and communicate progress to stakeholders. The role begins hands-on and evolves into governance and strategic leadership as the function grows.

MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.

In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.

The Opportunity

MaintainX serves customers worldwide, and our localization capability needs to match that. As our first Localization Program Manager, you'll build the processes, pipelines, and quality standards that let us deliver software and content in the languages our customers need — partnering with Documentation, Customer Education, Marketing, and Product to embed localization into their existing workflows.

This role sits in Product. It starts hands-on (building pipelines, configuring tooling, setting standards from scratch) and is expected to evolve toward program governance as the foundation matures.

What You'll Do

Stand up localization pipelines

  • Partner with Documentation, Customer Education, Marketing, and Product to design pipelines tailored to their tooling (Docusaurus/MDX, Contentful, LMS, product strings)

  • Evaluate, select, and configure TMS and MT tooling

  • Take over and optimize the existing product UI localization pipeline

  • Standardize handoffs, file formats, and review workflows across a heterogeneous stack

Own shared localization infrastructure

  • Build and maintain glossaries, translation memories, style guides, and terminology databases

  • Ensure terminology consistency across all content types

  • Set the standards that govern localization even as individual teams own their pipelines

Drive MT quality

  • Design QA processes for machine translation output: spot-checks, LQA frameworks, feedback loops

  • Formalize human review for core languages using internal and external reviewers

  • Track quality over time and iterate based on results

  • Stand up LSP relationships to fill capacity gaps

Run localization operations

  • Own the ongoing content flow through localization at agreed cadences once pipelines are live

  • Coordinate handoffs, track progress, and communicate status to stakeholders

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, tooling issues, and quality problems

Grow the function

  • Take on de facto leadership of future localization hires as scope expands

  • Shift the role from hands-on execution to governance and strategic ownership as the foundation matures

About You

  • 5–7+ years in localization program management or operations, with a track record of building workflows from scratch

  • Experience across content types: software UI, technical docs, marketing, eLearning

  • Hands-on with TMS platforms (Crowdin, Phrase, Lokalise, etc.) and MT engines (DeepL, Google Translate, or custom)

  • Software localization fluency: string-based workflows, i18n conventions, working alongside (not owning) engineering

  • Experience designing MT quality evaluation processes

  • Technical enough to work inside tooling, reason about pipeline logic and file formats, and hold credible conversations with engineers and vendors

  • Strong cross-functional instincts — you build shared process and influence without authority

AI Fluency (Required)

  • Daily user of AI tools in your work

  • Experience applying AI to translation quality evaluation, workflow automation, or content processing

  • Strong judgment on when to trust AI outputs vs. escalate to human review

Nice to Have

  • Fluency or working proficiency in French, Spanish, German, or Portuguese

  • Familiarity with static site generators, CMS, or LMS platforms

  • Background in localization, content operations, or technical writing

  • Experience with CMMS, industrial software, or B2B SaaS

Our mission is to keep the physical world running. Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build.

Compensation and benefits. Base pay is one part of the package. Depending on the role, compensation may also include commission, an annual bonus and equity. Benefits differ by country. For roles in the United States, Autodesk’s benefits are described at benefits.autodesk.com. For roles in Canada and other countries, the plan differs on health coverage, retirement and leave, and your recruiter will walk you through it.

Belonging. We take pride in a culture where everyone can thrive. More at autodesk.com/company/global-belonging. More on where this is going: Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost on building the future of connected operations, and AOS SVP Stephen Hooper on welcoming MaintainX to Autodesk.
