Who You Will Work With:
The vacant Leader, Quality Engineering, Governance & Enablement role will report to the Head, Delivery Excellence and will operate as a senior technology leader within the Delivery Excellence organization. You will act as the enterprise authority for Quality Engineering, Certification, and Production Readiness, working collaboratively to ensure that Agile Ways of Working and the Enterprise Delivery Framework are applied consistently, pragmatically, and at scale across the technology organization.
What You Will Do:
Establish and own enterprise‑wide Quality Engineering, Certification, and Production Readiness standards
Act as the authoritative voice on release readiness, quality health, and change risk
Ensure consistent interpretation and application of standards across products and platforms
Enterprise Delivery Framework
Translate Agile Ways of Working principles into clear, enforceable quality and testing practices
Embed quality, automation, and readiness expectations into the Enterprise Delivery Framework
Define and govern entry and exit criteria for build, test, certification, and release stages
Ensure teams can move fast without increasing operational or regulatory risk
Quality Engineering Strategy & Enablement
Develop and execute a multi‑year Quality Engineering strategy and roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities
Lead the evolution of continuous testing and automation frameworks
Drive adoption of shift‑left, automation‑first quality practices
Standardize tools, patterns, and methodologies to improve efficiency and consistency
Certification, Readiness & Risk Discipline
Own the technology certification lifecycle and production readiness model
Establish and maintain change risk scoring and readiness assessment standards
Reduce defect leakage, post‑release incidents, and late‑stage surprises
Ensure release decisions are supported by evidence, data, and clear accountability
Metrics, Insights & Continuous Improvement
Define and govern quality, readiness, and automation KPIs
Use delivery data and post‑release insights to drive systemic improvement
Partner with Delivery Performance and Architecture leaders to address recurring quality and stability issues
Shift the organization from subjective assessments to outcome‑based quality measures
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineering, Automation, Certification, and Readiness leaders
Coach teams to think beyond testing towards engineering quality by design
Foster strong collaboration across Product, Engineering, Platform, and Operations
Champion a culture of standards, transparency, learning, and continuous improvement
What You Bring:
10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or related technology leadership roles
Deep experience operating within Agile and DevOps environments at scale
Proven track record establishing enterprise standards, governance models, and delivery disciplines
Strong systems‑thinking mindset focused on improving end‑to‑end delivery outcomes Leadership & Mindset
Comfortable operating as a technology authority through influence and credibility, not control
Data‑driven, outcome‑oriented, and improvement‑focused
Strong communicator able to align executives, delivery teams, and partners
Passionate about building durable delivery systems, not hero‑dependent execution
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
