You collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, data, and PR partners to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and impactful. • Provide editing support, including backreads, copy editing, and line editing, to ensure high editorial quality across team outputs.

  • Review Canadian credit card products, collect and analyze data, and translate findings into accessible comparisons and recommendations for consumers.

  • Use analytics tools to evaluate content performance and recommend data-driven improvements to increase reach, engagement, and usefulness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including spokespeople and subject matter experts, to contextualize economic changes and their impact on consumers.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of writing, editing, and working at a computer.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing written and data-driven content.

  • Regular participation in virtual meetings and collaboration across teams.

  • Occasional public speaking or spokesperson activities may arise.

Your experience:

  • 5+ years of editorial experience, including writing and reporting on personal finance topics; or equivalent depth of expertise in Canadian credit cards (2+ years specialized experience may substitute).

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze content performance data and translate insights into actionable content strategies.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex financial topics for broad audiences.

  • Proven experience with content management, including optimizing existing content and maintaining high editorial standards.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with editorial, data, PR, or product teams.

  • Familiarity with SEO/GEO best practices and audience development strategies.

  • Experience interviewing sources and incorporating data into content narratives.

  • Strong communication, ownership mindset, and ability to operate independently with minimal direction.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of Canadian credit cards, travel rewards, and loyalty programs.

  • Experience with multimedia content formats (podcasts, newsletters, video, social media).

  • Experience working with freelance or contract writers.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools and experimentation frameworks.

  • Potential to develop into a public-facing spokesperson.
