About the Job: We are seeking a Lead QA Automation
Engineer to drive the quality strategy, design scalable automation
frameworks, and lead a high-performing QA team. In this role, you will work
closely with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Product, and
DevOps—to ensure high-quality delivery across modern web, API, and enterprise
applications.

Position Responsibilities:
- Lead QA strategy, planning, and execution across
multiple projects and teams
- Design, develop, and scale robust automation
frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to
QA engineers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and
DevOps to ensure testability and quality throughout the SDLC
- Drive end-to-end automation, including building
frameworks from scratch where required
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
to enable continuous testing and faster releases
- Oversee test planning, test case design,
execution, and defect management
- Ensure comprehensive coverage across functional,
regression, integration (SIT), and UAT testing
- Work closely with release management and
deployment teams to support smooth product releases
- Establish QA standards, documentation, test
architecture, and governance practices
- Analyze quality metrics and provide insights to
stakeholders for continuous improvement
- Act as a key escalation point for quality risks,
defects, and production issues
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software testing experience within
Agile development teams
- 7+ years of strong hands-on test automation
experience
- Proven experience leading QA teams or acting in
a Lead capacity
- Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium,
WebdriverIO, REST Assured, Postman, or similar
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or
JavaScript/TypeScript
- Demonstrated experience building automation
frameworks from scratch
- Hands-on experience with BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright, Webdriver.io, TestNG, etc.)
- Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and
testing types (UI, API, Functional, Regression, SIT, UAT)
- Experience with defect tracking and test
management tools (JIRA, etc.)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management,
and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP web testing
- Exposure to performance testing and security
testing practices
- Experience in Agile Release Train environments
(SAFe) or large-scale delivery programs
Benefits
Salary Range: $95,000 to $100,000 CAD/ year
The final compensation offered will depend on local market
conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the
candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and
education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as
benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable. In accordance with new
