We are looking for an experienced and strategic Development Lead, Digital Marketing Technologies to join the Pension Communications and Engagement team in Toronto. In this role, you will work closely with communications professionals to drive the development and implementation of outstanding digital experiences for our 640,000 members and 1,000+ employers. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with business partners to schedule and prioritize development efforts for member and employer digital experiences.
- Lead development projects by managing priorities, estimating timelines and delivering solutions.
- Provide guidance on best practices for implementation, coding standards and technical issue resolution.
- Mentor and support other developers, fostering their professional growth.
- Import and extract data from databases such as Marketing Cloud, ensuring seamless integration and accuracy.
- Perform code reviews and conduct QA analysis to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Capture and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Offer strategic solutions and architectural expertise for implementation of digital marketing technologies.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business partners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Educate internal stakeholders on digital marketing technology capabilities and features.
- Stay informed on the latest marketing automation and web content management trends, identifying opportunities for innovation.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A proven track record in digital marketing design and development technologies such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with at least 4 years of experience leading complex projects involving diverse data sources.
- Expertise in multi-business unit configurations and multi-cloud environments using the Salesforce Connector.
- Advanced technical knowledge of marketing automation, including Email Studio, Web Studio, and Journey Builder.
- Experience in developing and implementing effective testing strategies for operational tasks.
- Proficiency in SQL and Marketing Data Views, along with validated experience in AMPscript and SSJS.
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS for responsive email development.
- Deep understanding of CASL requirements and email deliverability best practices, including monitoring Reputation Center and defining deployment strategies.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Would be at an advantage with:
- Experience in building web service-enabled applications (SOAP and RESTful APIs).
- Working knowledge of JavaScript.
- Strong people leadership and mentorship skills.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
