At SimCorp, we facilitate the streamlining of investments, accounting, and operations for major global financial institutions. We do this through IT systems, processes, and financial knowledge. Implementing our software by way of high-quality projects is at the core of what we do. To introduce our software to our clients, business consultants are essential to us.  

In the role of Senior Business Consultant specializing in ABOR (accounting book of records), your participation will be instrumental in the expansion of our market unit and in advancing the outcomes of our clients' projects.  

You will normally be working full-time on implementation projects, which require your special expertise in the ABOR area, and you will be responsible for all aspects of the project stream.  

You will act as an important sparring partner for your clients and effectively monitor, coordinate, and escalate issues as needed. 

  

What you will be responsible for 

  • Responsibility for major parts of SimCorp Dimension® implementation projects: You know the customers‘ requirements and processes related to Accounting at banks, asset managers and insurers and outline solutions for optimal use of SimCorp Dimension® 
  • Close cooperation with the project manager and key role in developing projects to success 
  • Gain understanding of Simcorp’s Global Standard Solutions and utilize them for project delivery
  • Key contact for our customers for all questions in connection with SimCorp Dimension® 
  • Instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues on the job 
  • Contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes and promote topics across projects 
  • Actively participate in know-how exchange with colleagues on an international level

  • Previous experience as an Analyst or (Implementation) Consultant for asset managers, asset owners, banks or consulting firms
  • Excellent know-how in at least two of the following areas:
  • Our candidates will have experience in one or more of the following fields:
    • Asset Management – Back Office – or Financial Reporting
    • Consulting or Professional Services within the Asset Management sector
    • An implementation role for a software vendor specializing in Asset Management software
    • Asset Management candidates should have 3-5  years of experience working hands on with the investment and/or fund accounting functions and the enterprise applications that enable them
    • Consultants should have experience with multiple enterprise implementations involving ABOR functions on the buy side, and hands on experience with applications similar to Dimension
  • Degree within Business discipline (Accounting, Finance, or Economics) or Mathematics/Applied Sciences preferred
  • Self-starter with a can-do mindset
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and deliver the results on time
  • Have Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English – both oral and written
  • Basic understanding of financial industry/products and related accounting
  • CPA, CA, or CFA qualification is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension is a plus
  • Ability to travel to client’s site (30-50%)
  • Can attend the SimCorp office 2x/week as per our hybrid policy 

For Toronto only: The salary range for this position is $119,000 - $162,000 CAD. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills and qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including health and dental care, time off and Group RRSP/TFSA.
