Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Junior Planner/Scheduler will coordinate, plan, schedule and assist maintenance with tasks and work orders to optimize equipment uptime.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing maintenance work orders for scheduled and emergency maintenance activities

  • Coordinate required resources (labor, tools, and parts) for efficient job execution

  • Ensure all parts are available to perform the jobs

  • Maintain ongoing library of drawings, sketches, pictures and catalogues of parts.

  • Assist in maintaining and building equipment records, bills of materials, and asset data in the CMMS

  • Create, schedule, and close preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in the CMMS

  • Follow up with mechanics and contractors to ensure maintenance, project, and work order requirements are completed

  • Review jobs to determine labor, parts and priority as well to ensure safety is a priority at all times.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1- 2 years of planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience using a CMMS, specifically Maximo, is considered an asset

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication (written, verbal, and presentational)  

  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
