The CIMA+ offices in Northern Ontario are in the middle of a large growth trajectory. This means new, exciting complex projects that you will have the ability to shape and be a part of. We have an exciting opportunity for an  Intermediate / Junior Mechanical Engineer who will join our Mechanical Team  in Red Lake, ON.

This role will be called upon to assume responsibility for a multitude of multidisciplinary projects primarily in the Mining sectors. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Participate and produce various deliverables in line with the project needs; 
  • Developing and producing design deliverables on a variety of industrial projects 
  • Work in multidisciplinary project teams, produce and sign off deliverables; 
  • Work with the department Lead to pursue new business opportunities with new and/or existing clients 
  • Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimates 
  • Collaboratively support business/operations through sound management of value, risk, content, communication, knowledge & resources 
  • Provide expertise in brownfield and sustaining projects 
  • Ensuring compliance to Health & Safety, as well as all other regulations & policies 
  • Development & implementation of budgets 
  • Partake to site surveys 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering 
  • Ideally 4+ years of completing Engineering design work in the Mining and/or Oil and Gas sectors 
  • P.Eng designation or eligible to become a P.Eng within Canada.
  • Proven organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills; 
  • Able to multi-task, meet deadlines, self-motivate, and adapt to change; 
  • Excellent Communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels. 
  • Experience with metal / mineral processing plants, piping, cooling systems, compression, mining operations, conveyance systems and / or pressure vessels is considered an asset
