Fox Group Canada is continuing to expand its business portfolio in Canada, and the Human Resources team plays a key role in supporting this growth and enhancing the employee experience across the organization.

Due to our continued success and expansion plans in Canada, we are looking for a motivated Junior HR Manager to join our team!

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Junior HR Manager to support the execution of human resources programs and day-to-day HR operations across our retail network in Canada.

Working closely with the HR Director and HR team, this role will support key HR functions including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration. The Junior HR Manager will partner with Store Managers and District Managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies and contribute to a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

This role is ideal for an HR professional looking to grow into a more senior HR leadership position over time, gaining exposure to multiple areas of the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Support the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives
  • Assist in managing employee relations cases, including performance management, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Prepare HR documentation, including disciplinary letters, terminations, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
  • Support the execution of the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian employment laws and regulations across provinces (ON, QC, AB, BC), with guidance from senior HR leadership
  • Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and follow-ups
  • Assist with talent management and succession planning activities
  • Maintain HR systems (BambooHR) and ensure data accuracy and reporting
  • Track and analyze HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, etc.) and provide insights to the HR team
  • Participate in store visits to support HR initiatives, employee engagement, and compliance
  • Support the rollout and communication of HR policies, programs, and training initiatives
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Health & Safety processes, including documentation and follow-ups

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field required
  • CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is an asset
  • 2–4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in retail or multi-site environments is an asset
  • Foundational knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations
  • Experience supporting employee relations and HR processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French is an asset)
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred)

Pay range: $85,000 – 95,000/annually
