Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

Assist in coordinating development and construction treasury and payables processes, including reviewing development invoices, assisting in preparing capital draws, etc.

Account and report on development cost spend to relevant stakeholders
-
Assist in monitoring loan accounts including construction draws, interest payments, loan renewals, quarterly loan compliance
-
Prepare development management fee entries
-
Perform month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, etc.

Assist in preparation of project HST filings
-
Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for external stakeholders
-
Assist with the preparation of annual audited financial statements, including note disclosures, and assist in quarterly review and annual audit process

Liaise with the development team, property managers, developers, equity partners, lenders, and other external parties

Assist with special and ad hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications:

A self-starter who is able to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and adheres to high standards for work quality

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
-
Self-motivated with good work ethic and willingness to learn

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
Minimum Requirements:

University degree in Finance or Accounting
Preferred Attributes:

Interested in pursuing CPA designation
