Closures Technical Centre, a division of Magna International Inc., is focused on the design, development and testing of Mechatronics products for the automotive industry.
This role is accountable for monitoring warranty trends and claims for earliest warranty issue detection and internal escalation. Assist in the development of company processes and strategies to minimize issue exposure to the OEM and cost exposure to Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting (MML). To support economic growth potential by providing benchmarking + Sales support along with keeping positive working relationships with the customers based on trust and integrity.
Your Responsibilities

  • Monitors OEM warranty systems and retrieves warranty information relevant to the commodities produced and shipped under Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting (MML) responsibility and prepares analysis reports with guidance.
  • Track warranty performance to established targets.
  • Analyze, document and elevate within the warranty department any anomalies in trend or claims data with guidance.
  • Prepares warranty reports for internal reviews (QOS and Program Reviews) as well as customer reviews with guidance.
  • Prepare launch reports on a weekly basis when new content is released.
  • Publish all reports on the MML Intranet.
  • Retrieve appropriate data from OEM databases prior to parts reviews with the customer with guidance.
  • Report / submit returned parts test results to OEM Returned Parts databases with guidance.
  • Provide Data for Projection / Reliability requests based on warranty performance or MML financial culpability.
  • Monitor MML financial culpability to OEM cost recovery systems.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Benchmark competitor warranty performance against MML content where OEM databases allow.
  • Perform dealership calls when required to better understand customer concern / failure mode with guidance.
  • Coordinate ordering returned parts from OEM's.
  • Publish Warranty Alerts when required.
  • Proposes changes to procedures and processes as necessary to make the flow of data as efficient as possible.
  • Support projects relating to the development / enhancement of internal warranty systems and procedures.
  • Complete Warranty Data Requests on time and accurately with guidance.
  • Performs all job functions abiding by the office/work standards (outlined in company handbook).
  • Follows Magna's Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policies
  • Perform other duties as required

Your preferred qualifications
